قَالَ فَمَا بَالُ الْقُرُوْنِ الْاُوْلٰى ٥١
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- famā
- فَمَا
- "Then what
- bālu
- بَالُ
- (is the) case
- l-qurūni
- ٱلْقُرُونِ
- (of) the generations
- l-ūlā
- ٱلْأُولَىٰ
- (of) the former"
[Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?" (QS. [20] Taha: 51)Tafsir
52
قَالَ عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ رَبِّيْ فِيْ كِتٰبٍۚ لَا يَضِلُّ رَبِّيْ وَلَا يَنْسَىۖ ٥٢
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- ʿil'muhā
- عِلْمُهَا
- "Its knowledge
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- (is) with
- rabbī
- رَبِّى
- my Lord
- fī
- فِى
- in
- kitābin
- كِتَٰبٍۖ
- a Record
- lā
- لَّا
- Not
- yaḍillu
- يَضِلُّ
- errs
- rabbī
- رَبِّى
- my Lord
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yansā
- يَنسَى
- forgets"
[Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." (QS. [20] Taha: 52)Tafsir
53
الَّذِيْ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْاَرْضَ مَهْدًا وَّسَلَكَ لَكُمْ فِيْهَا سُبُلًا وَّاَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءًۗ فَاَخْرَجْنَا بِهٖٓ اَزْوَاجًا مِّنْ نَّبَاتٍ شَتّٰى ٥٣
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- The One Who
- jaʿala
- جَعَلَ
- made
- lakumu
- لَكُمُ
- for you
- l-arḍa
- ٱلْأَرْضَ
- the earth
- mahdan
- مَهْدًا
- (as) a bed
- wasalaka
- وَسَلَكَ
- and inserted
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- for you
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- therein
- subulan
- سُبُلًا
- ways
- wa-anzala
- وَأَنزَلَ
- and sent down
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-samāi
- ٱلسَّمَآءِ
- the sky
- māan
- مَآءً
- water
- fa-akhrajnā
- فَأَخْرَجْنَا
- then We (have) brought forth
- bihi
- بِهِۦٓ
- with it
- azwājan
- أَزْوَٰجًا
- pairs
- min
- مِّن
- of
- nabātin
- نَّبَاتٍ
- plants
- shattā
- شَتَّىٰ
- diverse
[It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. (QS. [20] Taha: 53)Tafsir
54
كُلُوْا وَارْعَوْا اَنْعَامَكُمْ ۗاِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّاُولِى النُّهٰى ࣖ ٥٤
- kulū
- كُلُوا۟
- Eat
- wa-ir'ʿaw
- وَٱرْعَوْا۟
- and pasture
- anʿāmakum
- أَنْعَٰمَكُمْۗ
- your cattle
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- fī
- فِى
- in
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- laāyātin
- لَءَايَٰتٍ
- surely (are) Signs
- li-ulī
- لِّأُو۟لِى
- for possessors
- l-nuhā
- ٱلنُّهَىٰ
- (of) intelligence
Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed in that are signs for those of intelligence. (QS. [20] Taha: 54)Tafsir
55
۞ مِنْهَا خَلَقْنٰكُمْ وَفِيْهَا نُعِيْدُكُمْ وَمِنْهَا نُخْرِجُكُمْ تَارَةً اُخْرٰى ٥٥
- min'hā
- مِنْهَا
- From it
- khalaqnākum
- خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ
- We created you
- wafīhā
- وَفِيهَا
- and in it
- nuʿīdukum
- نُعِيدُكُمْ
- We will return you
- wamin'hā
- وَمِنْهَا
- and from it
- nukh'rijukum
- نُخْرِجُكُمْ
- We will bring you out
- tāratan
- تَارَةً
- time
- ukh'rā
- أُخْرَىٰ
- another
From it [i.e., the earth] We created you, and into it We will return you, and from it We will extract you another time. (QS. [20] Taha: 55)Tafsir
56
وَلَقَدْ اَرَيْنٰهُ اٰيٰتِنَا كُلَّهَا فَكَذَّبَ وَاَبٰى ٥٦
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And verily
- araynāhu
- أَرَيْنَٰهُ
- We showed him
- āyātinā
- ءَايَٰتِنَا
- Our Signs
- kullahā
- كُلَّهَا
- all of them
- fakadhaba
- فَكَذَّبَ
- but he denied
- wa-abā
- وَأَبَىٰ
- and refused
And We certainly showed him [i.e., Pharaoh] Our signs – all of them – but he denied and refused. (QS. [20] Taha: 56)Tafsir
57
قَالَ اَجِئْتَنَا لِتُخْرِجَنَا مِنْ اَرْضِنَا بِسِحْرِكَ يٰمُوْسٰى ٥٧
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- aji'tanā
- أَجِئْتَنَا
- "Have you come to us
- litukh'rijanā
- لِتُخْرِجَنَا
- to drive us out
- min
- مِنْ
- of
- arḍinā
- أَرْضِنَا
- our land
- bisiḥ'rika
- بِسِحْرِكَ
- with your magic
- yāmūsā
- يَٰمُوسَىٰ
- O Musa?
He said, "Have you come to us to drive us out of our land with your magic, O Moses? (QS. [20] Taha: 57)Tafsir
58
فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّكَ بِسِحْرٍ مِّثْلِهٖ فَاجْعَلْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكَ مَوْعِدًا لَّا نُخْلِفُهٗ نَحْنُ وَلَآ اَنْتَ مَكَانًا سُوًى ٥٨
- falanatiyannaka
- فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّكَ
- Then we will surely produce for you
- bisiḥ'rin
- بِسِحْرٍ
- magic
- mith'lihi
- مِّثْلِهِۦ
- like it
- fa-ij'ʿal
- فَٱجْعَلْ
- So make
- baynanā
- بَيْنَنَا
- between us
- wabaynaka
- وَبَيْنَكَ
- and between you
- mawʿidan
- مَوْعِدًا
- an appointment
- lā
- لَّا
- not
- nukh'lifuhu
- نُخْلِفُهُۥ
- we will fail it
- naḥnu
- نَحْنُ
- [we]
- walā
- وَلَآ
- and not
- anta
- أَنتَ
- you
- makānan
- مَكَانًا
- (in) a place
- suwan
- سُوًى
- even"
Then we will surely bring you magic like it, so make between us and you an appointment, which we will not fail to keep and neither will you, in a place assigned." (QS. [20] Taha: 58)Tafsir
59
قَالَ مَوْعِدُكُمْ يَوْمُ الزِّيْنَةِ وَاَنْ يُّحْشَرَ النَّاسُ ضُحًى ٥٩
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- mawʿidukum
- مَوْعِدُكُمْ
- "Your appointment
- yawmu
- يَوْمُ
- (is on the) day
- l-zīnati
- ٱلزِّينَةِ
- (of) the festival
- wa-an
- وَأَن
- and that
- yuḥ'shara
- يُحْشَرَ
- will be assembled
- l-nāsu
- ٱلنَّاسُ
- the people
- ḍuḥan
- ضُحًى
- (at) forenoon"
[Moses] said, "Your appointment is on the day of the festival when the people assemble at mid-morning." (QS. [20] Taha: 59)Tafsir
60
فَتَوَلّٰى فِرْعَوْنُ فَجَمَعَ كَيْدَهٗ ثُمَّ اَتٰى ٦٠
- fatawallā
- فَتَوَلَّىٰ
- Then went away
- fir'ʿawnu
- فِرْعَوْنُ
- Firaun
- fajamaʿa
- فَجَمَعَ
- and put together
- kaydahu
- كَيْدَهُۥ
- his plan
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- atā
- أَتَىٰ
- came
So Pharaoh went away, put together his plan, and then came [to Moses]. (QS. [20] Taha: 60)Tafsir
