bismillaahirrahmaanirrahiim
1

طٰهٰ ۚ ١

طه
Ta Ha
Ta, Ha. (QS. [20] Taha: 1)
Tafsir
2

مَآ اَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْاٰنَ لِتَشْقٰٓى ۙ ٢

مَآ
Not
anzalnā
أَنزَلْنَا
We (have) sent down
ʿalayka
عَلَيْكَ
to you
l-qur'āna
ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
the Quran
litashqā
لِتَشْقَىٰٓ
that you be distressed
We have not sent down to you the Quran that you be distressed (QS. [20] Taha: 2)
Tafsir
3

اِلَّا تَذْكِرَةً لِّمَنْ يَّخْشٰى ۙ ٣

illā
إِلَّا
(But)
tadhkiratan
تَذْكِرَةً
(as) a reminder
liman
لِّمَن
for (those) who
yakhshā
يَخْشَىٰ
fear
But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] – (QS. [20] Taha: 3)
Tafsir
4

تَنْزِيْلًا مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَ الْاَرْضَ وَالسَّمٰوٰتِ الْعُلٰى ۗ ٤

tanzīlan
تَنزِيلًا
A revelation
mimman
مِّمَّنْ
from (He) Who
khalaqa
خَلَقَ
created
l-arḍa
ٱلْأَرْضَ
the earth
wal-samāwāti
وَٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
and the heavens
l-ʿulā
ٱلْعُلَى
[the] high
A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, (QS. [20] Taha: 4)
Tafsir
5

اَلرَّحْمٰنُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوٰى ٥

al-raḥmānu
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ
The Most Gracious
ʿalā
عَلَى
over
l-ʿarshi
ٱلْعَرْشِ
the Throne
is'tawā
ٱسْتَوَىٰ
is established
The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. (QS. [20] Taha: 5)
Tafsir
6

لَهٗ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الْاَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَمَا تَحْتَ الثَّرٰى ٦

lahu
لَهُۥ
To Him (belongs)
مَا
whatever
فِى
(is) in
l-samāwāti
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
wamā
وَمَا
and whatever
فِى
(is) in
l-arḍi
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth
wamā
وَمَا
and whatever
baynahumā
بَيْنَهُمَا
(is) between them
wamā
وَمَا
and whatever
taḥta
تَحْتَ
(is) under
l-tharā
ٱلثَّرَىٰ
the soil
To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. (QS. [20] Taha: 6)
Tafsir
7

وَاِنْ تَجْهَرْ بِالْقَوْلِ فَاِنَّهٗ يَعْلَمُ السِّرَّ وَاَخْفٰى ٧

wa-in
وَإِن
And if
tajhar
تَجْهَرْ
you speak aloud
bil-qawli
بِٱلْقَوْلِ
the word
fa-innahu
فَإِنَّهُۥ
then indeed He
yaʿlamu
يَعْلَمُ
knows
l-sira
ٱلسِّرَّ
the secret
wa-akhfā
وَأَخْفَى
and the more hidden
And if you speak aloud – then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. (QS. [20] Taha: 7)
Tafsir
8

اَللّٰهُ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۗ لَهُ الْاَسْمَاۤءُ الْحُسْنٰى ٨

al-lahu
ٱللَّهُ
Allah -
لَآ
(there is) no
ilāha
إِلَٰهَ
god
illā
إِلَّا
except
huwa
هُوَۖ
Him
lahu
لَهُ
To Him (belong)
l-asmāu
ٱلْأَسْمَآءُ
the Names
l-ḥus'nā
ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
the Most Beautiful
Allah – there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. (QS. [20] Taha: 8)
Tafsir
9

وَهَلْ اَتٰىكَ حَدِيْثُ مُوْسٰى ۘ ٩

wahal
وَهَلْ
And has
atāka
أَتَىٰكَ
come to you
ḥadīthu
حَدِيثُ
the narration
mūsā
مُوسَىٰٓ
(of) Musa?
And has the story of Moses reached you? – (QS. [20] Taha: 9)
Tafsir

اِذْ رَاٰ نَارًا فَقَالَ لِاَهْلِهِ امْكُثُوْٓا اِنِّيْ اٰنَسْتُ نَارًا لَّعَلِّيْٓ اٰتِيْكُمْ مِّنْهَا بِقَبَسٍ اَوْ اَجِدُ عَلَى النَّارِ هُدًى ١٠

إِذْ
When
raā
رَءَا
he saw
nāran
نَارًا
a fire
faqāla
فَقَالَ
then he said
li-ahlihi
لِأَهْلِهِ
to his family
um'kuthū
ٱمْكُثُوٓا۟
"Stay here;
innī
إِنِّىٓ
indeed I
ānastu
ءَانَسْتُ
[I] perceived
nāran
نَارًا
a fire;
laʿallī
لَّعَلِّىٓ
perhaps I (can)
ātīkum
ءَاتِيكُم
bring you
min'hā
مِّنْهَا
therefrom
biqabasin
بِقَبَسٍ
a burning brand
aw
أَوْ
or
ajidu
أَجِدُ
I find
ʿalā
عَلَى
at
l-nāri
ٱلنَّارِ
the fire
hudan
هُدًى
guidance"
When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." (QS. [20] Taha: 10)
