Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Baqarah Verse 242
Al-Baqarah [2]: 242 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
كَذٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ لَكُمْ اٰيٰتِهٖ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُوْنَ ࣖ (البقرة : ٢)
- kadhālika
- كَذَٰلِكَ
- Thus
- yubayyinu
- يُبَيِّنُ
- makes clear
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ

- ءَايَٰتِهِۦ
- His Verses

- لَعَلَّكُمْ

- use your intellect
Transliteration:
Kazaalika yubaiyinul laahu lakum aayaatihee la'allakum ta'qiloon(QS. al-Baq̈arah:242)
English / Sahih Translation:
Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses [i.e., laws] that you might use reason. (QS. Al-Baqarah, ayah 242)

كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّهُ لَكُمْ ايَاتِهِ
Thus Allah makes clear His Ayat (Laws) to you,
meaning, what He allows, forbids, requires, His set limits, His commandments and His prohibitions are all explained and made plain and clear for you. He did not leave any matter in general terms if you needed the specifics.
لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
in order that you may understand.
