وَاٰمِنُوْا بِمَآ اَنْزَلْتُ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا مَعَكُمْ وَلَا تَكُوْنُوْٓا اَوَّلَ كَافِرٍۢ بِهٖ ۖ وَلَا تَشْتَرُوْا بِاٰيٰتِيْ ثَمَنًا قَلِيْلًا ۖوَّاِيَّايَ فَاتَّقُوْنِ ٤١
- waāminū
- وَءَامِنُوا۟
- And believe
- bimā
- بِمَآ
- in what
- anzaltu
- أَنزَلْتُ
- I have sent down
- muṣaddiqan
- مُصَدِّقًا
- confirming
- limā
- لِّمَا
- that which
- maʿakum
- مَعَكُمْ
- (is) with you
- walā
- وَلَا
- and (do) not
- takūnū
- تَكُونُوٓا۟
- be
- awwala
- أَوَّلَ
- (the) first
- kāfirin
- كَافِرٍۭ
- disbeliever
- bihi
- بِهِۦۖ
- of it
- walā
- وَلَا
- And (do) not
- tashtarū
- تَشْتَرُوا۟
- exchange
- biāyātī
- بِـَٔايَٰتِى
- My Signs (for)
- thamanan
- ثَمَنًا
- a price
- qalīlan
- قَلِيلًا
- small
- wa-iyyāya
- وَإِيَّٰىَ
- and Me Alone
- fa-ittaqūni
- فَٱتَّقُونِ
- fear [Me]
And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is [already] with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do not exchange My signs for a small price, and fear [only] Me. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 41)Tafsir
وَلَا تَلْبِسُوا الْحَقَّ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُوا الْحَقَّ وَاَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ٤٢
- walā
- وَلَا
- And (do) not
- talbisū
- تَلْبِسُوا۟
- mix
- l-ḥaqa
- ٱلْحَقَّ
- the Truth
- bil-bāṭili
- بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ
- with [the] falsehood
- wataktumū
- وَتَكْتُمُوا۟
- and conceal
- l-ḥaqa
- ٱلْحَقَّ
- the Truth
- wa-antum
- وَأَنتُمْ
- while you
- taʿlamūna
- تَعْلَمُونَ
- [you] know
And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it]. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 42)Tafsir
وَاَقِيْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ وَارْكَعُوْا مَعَ الرَّاكِعِيْنَ ٤٣
- wa-aqīmū
- وَأَقِيمُوا۟
- And establish
- l-ṣalata
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
- the prayer
- waātū
- وَءَاتُوا۟
- and give
- l-zakata
- ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
- zakah
- wa-ir'kaʿū
- وَٱرْكَعُوا۟
- and bow down
- maʿa
- مَعَ
- with
- l-rākiʿīna
- ٱلرَّٰكِعِينَ
- those who bow down
And establish prayer and give Zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience]. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 43)Tafsir
۞ اَتَأْمُرُوْنَ النَّاسَ بِالْبِرِّ وَتَنْسَوْنَ اَنْفُسَكُمْ وَاَنْتُمْ تَتْلُوْنَ الْكِتٰبَ ۗ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ ٤٤
- atamurūna
- أَتَأْمُرُونَ
- Do you order
- l-nāsa
- ٱلنَّاسَ
- [the] people
- bil-biri
- بِٱلْبِرِّ
- [the] righteousness
- watansawna
- وَتَنسَوْنَ
- and you forget
- anfusakum
- أَنفُسَكُمْ
- yourselves
- wa-antum
- وَأَنتُمْ
- while you
- tatlūna
- تَتْلُونَ
- [you] recite
- l-kitāba
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَۚ
- the Book?
- afalā
- أَفَلَا
- Then will not
- taʿqilūna
- تَعْقِلُونَ
- you use reason?
Do you order righteousness of the people and forget yourselves while you recite the Scripture? Then will you not reason? (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 44)Tafsir
وَاسْتَعِيْنُوْا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلٰوةِ ۗ وَاِنَّهَا لَكَبِيْرَةٌ اِلَّا عَلَى الْخٰشِعِيْنَۙ ٤٥
- wa-is'taʿīnū
- وَٱسْتَعِينُوا۟
- And seek help
- bil-ṣabri
- بِٱلصَّبْرِ
- through patience
- wal-ṣalati
- وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِۚ
- and the prayer;
- wa-innahā
- وَإِنَّهَا
- and indeed it
- lakabīratun
- لَكَبِيرَةٌ
- (is) surely difficult
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- on
- l-khāshiʿīna
- ٱلْخَٰشِعِينَ
- the humble ones
And seek help through patience and prayer; and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah] (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 45)Tafsir
الَّذِيْنَ يَظُنُّوْنَ اَنَّهُمْ مُّلٰقُوْا رَبِّهِمْ وَاَنَّهُمْ اِلَيْهِ رٰجِعُوْنَ ࣖ ٤٦
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- Those who
- yaẓunnūna
- يَظُنُّونَ
- believe
- annahum
- أَنَّهُم
- that they
- mulāqū
- مُّلَٰقُوا۟
- will meet
- rabbihim
- رَبِّهِمْ
- their Lord
- wa-annahum
- وَأَنَّهُمْ
- and that they
- ilayhi
- إِلَيْهِ
- to Him
- rājiʿūna
- رَٰجِعُونَ
- will return
Who are certain that they will meet their Lord and that they will return to Him. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 46)Tafsir
يٰبَنِيْٓ اِسْرَاۤءِيْلَ اذْكُرُوْا نِعْمَتِيَ الَّتِيْٓ اَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَاَنِّيْ فَضَّلْتُكُمْ عَلَى الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ٤٧
- yābanī
- يَٰبَنِىٓ
- O Children
- is'rāīla
- إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
- (of) Israel!
- udh'kurū
- ٱذْكُرُوا۟
- Remember
- niʿ'matiya
- نِعْمَتِىَ
- My Favor
- allatī
- ٱلَّتِىٓ
- which
- anʿamtu
- أَنْعَمْتُ
- I bestowed
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُمْ
- upon you
- wa-annī
- وَأَنِّى
- and that I
- faḍḍaltukum
- فَضَّلْتُكُمْ
- [I] preferred you
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- over
- l-ʿālamīna
- ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
- the worlds
O Children of Israel, remember My favor that I have bestowed upon you and that I preferred you over the worlds [i.e., peoples]. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 47)Tafsir
وَاتَّقُوْا يَوْمًا لَّا تَجْزِيْ نَفْسٌ عَنْ نَّفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا وَّلَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهَا شَفَاعَةٌ وَّلَا يُؤْخَذُ مِنْهَا عَدْلٌ وَّلَا هُمْ يُنْصَرُوْنَ ٤٨
- wa-ittaqū
- وَٱتَّقُوا۟
- And fear
- yawman
- يَوْمًا
- a day
- lā
- لَّا
- (will) not
- tajzī
- تَجْزِى
- avail
- nafsun
- نَفْسٌ
- any soul
- ʿan
- عَن
- for
- nafsin
- نَّفْسٍ
- (another) soul
- shayan
- شَيْـًٔا
- anything
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yuq'balu
- يُقْبَلُ
- will be accepted
- min'hā
- مِنْهَا
- from it
- shafāʿatun
- شَفَٰعَةٌ
- any intercession
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yu'khadhu
- يُؤْخَذُ
- will be taken
- min'hā
- مِنْهَا
- from it
- ʿadlun
- عَدْلٌ
- a compensation
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- yunṣarūna
- يُنصَرُونَ
- will be helped
And fear a Day when no soul will suffice for another soul at all, nor will intercession be accepted from it, nor will compensation be taken from it, nor will they be aided. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 48)Tafsir
وَاِذْ نَجَّيْنٰكُمْ مِّنْ اٰلِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُوْمُوْنَكُمْ سُوْۤءَ الْعَذَابِ يُذَبِّحُوْنَ اَبْنَاۤءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُوْنَ نِسَاۤءَكُمْ ۗ وَفِيْ ذٰلِكُمْ بَلَاۤءٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيْمٌ ٤٩
- wa-idh
- وَإِذْ
- And when
- najjaynākum
- نَجَّيْنَٰكُم
- We saved you
- min
- مِّنْ
- from
- āli
- ءَالِ
- (the) people
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- (of) Firaun
- yasūmūnakum
- يَسُومُونَكُمْ
- (who were) afflicting you (with)
- sūa
- سُوٓءَ
- horrible
- l-ʿadhābi
- ٱلْعَذَابِ
- torment
- yudhabbiḥūna
- يُذَبِّحُونَ
- slaughtering
- abnāakum
- أَبْنَآءَكُمْ
- your sons
- wayastaḥyūna
- وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ
- and letting live
- nisāakum
- نِسَآءَكُمْۚ
- your women
- wafī
- وَفِى
- And in
- dhālikum
- ذَٰلِكُم
- that
- balāon
- بَلَآءٌ
- (was) a trial
- min
- مِّن
- from
- rabbikum
- رَّبِّكُمْ
- your Lord
- ʿaẓīmun
- عَظِيمٌ
- great
And [recall] when We saved you [i.e., your forefathers] from the people of Pharaoh, who afflicted you with the worst torment, slaughtering your [newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 49)Tafsir
وَاِذْ فَرَقْنَا بِكُمُ الْبَحْرَ فَاَنْجَيْنٰكُمْ وَاَغْرَقْنَآ اٰلَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَاَنْتُمْ تَنْظُرُوْنَ ٥٠
- wa-idh
- وَإِذْ
- And when
- faraqnā
- فَرَقْنَا
- We parted
- bikumu
- بِكُمُ
- for you
- l-baḥra
- ٱلْبَحْرَ
- the sea
- fa-anjaynākum
- فَأَنجَيْنَٰكُمْ
- then We saved you
- wa-aghraqnā
- وَأَغْرَقْنَآ
- and We drowned
- āla
- ءَالَ
- (the) people
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- (of) Firaun
- wa-antum
- وَأَنتُمْ
- while you
- tanẓurūna
- تَنظُرُونَ
- (were) looking
And [recall] when We parted the sea for you and saved you and drowned the people of Pharaoh while you were looking on. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 50)Tafsir
