وَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ يَّقُوْلُ رَبَّنَآ اٰتِنَا فِى الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَّفِى الْاٰخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَّقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ ٢٠١
- wamin'hum
- وَمِنْهُم
- And from those
- man
- مَّن
- who
- yaqūlu
- يَقُولُ
- say
- rabbanā
- رَبَّنَآ
- "Our Lord!
- ātinā
- ءَاتِنَا
- Grant us
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- the world
- ḥasanatan
- حَسَنَةً
- good
- wafī
- وَفِى
- and in
- l-ākhirati
- ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
- the Hereafter
- ḥasanatan
- حَسَنَةً
- good
- waqinā
- وَقِنَا
- and save us
- ʿadhāba
- عَذَابَ
- (from the) punishment
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِ
- (of) the Fire"
But among them is he who says, "Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire." (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 201)Tafsir
اُولٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمْ نَصِيْبٌ مِّمَّا كَسَبُوْا ۗ وَاللّٰهُ سَرِيْعُ الْحِسَابِ ٢٠٢
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- Those -
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- naṣībun
- نَصِيبٌ
- (is) a share
- mimmā
- مِّمَّا
- of what
- kasabū
- كَسَبُوا۟ۚ
- they earned
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- and Allah
- sarīʿu
- سَرِيعُ
- (is) swift
- l-ḥisābi
- ٱلْحِسَابِ
- (in taking) account
Those will have a share of what they have earned, and Allah is swift in account. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 202)Tafsir
۞ وَاذْكُرُوا اللّٰهَ فِيْٓ اَيَّامٍ مَّعْدُوْدٰتٍ ۗ فَمَنْ تَعَجَّلَ فِيْ يَوْمَيْنِ فَلَآ اِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ ۚوَمَنْ تَاَخَّرَ فَلَآ اِثْمَ عَلَيْهِۙ لِمَنِ اتَّقٰىۗ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّكُمْ اِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُوْنَ ٢٠٣
- wa-udh'kurū
- وَٱذْكُرُوا۟
- And remember
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- fī
- فِىٓ
- during
- ayyāmin
- أَيَّامٍ
- days
- maʿdūdātin
- مَّعْدُودَٰتٍۚ
- numbered
- faman
- فَمَن
- Then (he) who
- taʿajjala
- تَعَجَّلَ
- hurries
- fī
- فِى
- in
- yawmayni
- يَوْمَيْنِ
- two days
- falā
- فَلَآ
- then no
- ith'ma
- إِثْمَ
- sin
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- upon him
- waman
- وَمَن
- and whoever
- ta-akhara
- تَأَخَّرَ
- delays
- falā
- فَلَآ
- then no
- ith'ma
- إِثْمَ
- sin
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِۚ
- upon him
- limani
- لِمَنِ
- for (the one) who
- ittaqā
- ٱتَّقَىٰۗ
- fears
- wa-ittaqū
- وَٱتَّقُوا۟
- And fear
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- wa-iʿ'lamū
- وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟
- and know
- annakum
- أَنَّكُمْ
- that you
- ilayhi
- إِلَيْهِ
- unto Him
- tuḥ'sharūna
- تُحْشَرُونَ
- will be gathered
And remember Allah during [specific] numbered days. Then whoever hastens [his departure] in two days – there is no sin upon him; and whoever delays [until the third] – there is no sin upon him – for him who fears Allah. And fear Allah and know that unto Him you will be gathered. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 203)Tafsir
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يُّعْجِبُكَ قَوْلُهٗ فِى الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيُشْهِدُ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى مَا فِيْ قَلْبِهٖ ۙ وَهُوَ اَلَدُّ الْخِصَامِ ٢٠٤
- wamina
- وَمِنَ
- And of
- l-nāsi
- ٱلنَّاسِ
- the people
- man
- مَن
- (is the one) who
- yuʿ'jibuka
- يُعْجِبُكَ
- pleases you
- qawluhu
- قَوْلُهُۥ
- (with) his speech
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-ḥayati
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
- the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- (of) the world
- wayush'hidu
- وَيُشْهِدُ
- and he calls to witness
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- mā
- مَا
- what
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- qalbihi
- قَلْبِهِۦ
- his heart
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- and he
- aladdu
- أَلَدُّ
- (is) the most quarrelsome
- l-khiṣāmi
- ٱلْخِصَامِ
- (of) opponents
And of the people is he whose speech pleases you in worldly life, and he calls Allah to witness as to what is in his heart, yet he is the fiercest of opponents. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 204)Tafsir
وَاِذَا تَوَلّٰى سَعٰى فِى الْاَرْضِ لِيُفْسِدَ فِيْهَا وَيُهْلِكَ الْحَرْثَ وَالنَّسْلَ ۗ وَ اللّٰهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْفَسَادَ ٢٠٥
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- tawallā
- تَوَلَّىٰ
- he turns away
- saʿā
- سَعَىٰ
- he strives
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- liyuf'sida
- لِيُفْسِدَ
- to spread corruption
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- [in it]
- wayuh'lika
- وَيُهْلِكَ
- and destroys
- l-ḥartha
- ٱلْحَرْثَ
- the crops
- wal-nasla
- وَٱلنَّسْلَۗ
- and progeny
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yuḥibbu
- يُحِبُّ
- love
- l-fasāda
- ٱلْفَسَادَ
- [the] corruption
And when he goes away, he strives throughout the land to cause corruption therein and destroy crops and animals. And Allah does not like corruption. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 205)Tafsir
وَاِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُ اتَّقِ اللّٰهَ اَخَذَتْهُ الْعِزَّةُ بِالْاِثْمِ فَحَسْبُهٗ جَهَنَّمُ ۗ وَلَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ ٢٠٦
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- qīla
- قِيلَ
- it is said
- lahu
- لَهُ
- to him
- ittaqi
- ٱتَّقِ
- "Fear
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah"
- akhadhathu
- أَخَذَتْهُ
- takes him
- l-ʿizatu
- ٱلْعِزَّةُ
- (his) pride
- bil-ith'mi
- بِٱلْإِثْمِۚ
- to [the] sins
- faḥasbuhu
- فَحَسْبُهُۥ
- Then enough for him
- jahannamu
- جَهَنَّمُۚ
- (is) Hell -
- walabi'sa
- وَلَبِئْسَ
- [and] surely an evil
- l-mihādu
- ٱلْمِهَادُ
- [the] resting-place
And when it is said to him, "Fear Allah," pride in the sin takes hold of him. Sufficient for him is Hellfire, and how wretched is the resting place. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 206)Tafsir
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَّشْرِيْ نَفْسَهُ ابْتِغَاۤءَ مَرْضَاتِ اللّٰهِ ۗوَاللّٰهُ رَءُوْفٌۢ بِالْعِبَادِ ٢٠٧
- wamina
- وَمِنَ
- And of
- l-nāsi
- ٱلنَّاسِ
- the people
- man
- مَن
- (is the one) who
- yashrī
- يَشْرِى
- sells
- nafsahu
- نَفْسَهُ
- his own self
- ib'tighāa
- ٱبْتِغَآءَ
- seeking
- marḍāti
- مَرْضَاتِ
- pleasure
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۗ
- (of) Allah
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- raūfun
- رَءُوفٌۢ
- (is) full of Kindness
- bil-ʿibādi
- بِٱلْعِبَادِ
- to His servants
And of the people is he who sells himself, seeking means to the approval of Allah. And Allah is Kind to [His] servants. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 207)Tafsir
يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوا ادْخُلُوْا فِى السِّلْمِ كَاۤفَّةً ۖوَّلَا تَتَّبِعُوْا خُطُوٰتِ الشَّيْطٰنِۗ اِنَّهٗ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِيْنٌ ٢٠٨
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O you
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe[d]!
- ud'khulū
- ٱدْخُلُوا۟
- Enter
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-sil'mi
- ٱلسِّلْمِ
- Islam
- kāffatan
- كَآفَّةً
- completely
- walā
- وَلَا
- and (do) not
- tattabiʿū
- تَتَّبِعُوا۟
- follow
- khuṭuwāti
- خُطُوَٰتِ
- footsteps
- l-shayṭāni
- ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِۚ
- (of) the Shaitaan
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed he
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- (is) for you
- ʿaduwwun
- عَدُوٌّ
- an enemy
- mubīnun
- مُّبِينٌ
- open
O you who have believed, enter into IsLam completely [and perfectly] and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 208)Tafsir
فَاِنْ زَلَلْتُمْ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَاۤءَتْكُمُ الْبَيِّنٰتُ فَاعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ عَزِيْزٌ حَكِيْمٌ ٢٠٩
- fa-in
- فَإِن
- Then if
- zalaltum
- زَلَلْتُم
- you slip
- min
- مِّنۢ
- from
- baʿdi
- بَعْدِ
- after
- mā
- مَا
- [what]
- jāatkumu
- جَآءَتْكُمُ
- came to you
- l-bayinātu
- ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتُ
- (from) the clear proofs
- fa-iʿ'lamū
- فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟
- then know
- anna
- أَنَّ
- that
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- ʿazīzun
- عَزِيزٌ
- (is) All-Mighty
- ḥakīmun
- حَكِيمٌ
- All-Wise
But if you slip [i.e., deviate] after clear proofs have come to you, then know that Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 209)Tafsir
هَلْ يَنْظُرُوْنَ اِلَّآ اَنْ يَّأْتِيَهُمُ اللّٰهُ فِيْ ظُلَلٍ مِّنَ الْغَمَامِ وَالْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةُ وَقُضِيَ الْاَمْرُ ۗ وَاِلَى اللّٰهِ تُرْجَعُ الْاُمُوْرُ ࣖ ٢١٠
- hal
- هَلْ
- Are
- yanẓurūna
- يَنظُرُونَ
- they waiting
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- [except]
- an
- أَن
- that
- yatiyahumu
- يَأْتِيَهُمُ
- comes to them
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- fī
- فِى
- in
- ẓulalin
- ظُلَلٍ
- (the) shadows
- mina
- مِّنَ
- of
- l-ghamāmi
- ٱلْغَمَامِ
- [the] clouds
- wal-malāikatu
- وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
- and the Angels
- waquḍiya
- وَقُضِىَ
- and is decreed
- l-amru
- ٱلْأَمْرُۚ
- the matter?
- wa-ilā
- وَإِلَى
- And to
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- tur'jaʿu
- تُرْجَعُ
- return
- l-umūru
- ٱلْأُمُورُ
- (all) the matters
Do they await but that Allah should come to them in covers of clouds and the angels [as well] and the matter is [then] decided? And to Allah [all] matters are returned. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 210)Tafsir
