اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَمَاتُوْا وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ عَلَيْهِمْ لَعْنَةُ اللّٰهِ وَالْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ اَجْمَعِيْنَۙ ١٦١
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieve[d]
- wamātū
- وَمَاتُوا۟
- and die[d]
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- while they
- kuffārun
- كُفَّارٌ
- (were) disbelievers
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- those
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- on them
- laʿnatu
- لَعْنَةُ
- (is the) curse
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- wal-malāikati
- وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
- and the Angels
- wal-nāsi
- وَٱلنَّاسِ
- and the mankind
- ajmaʿīna
- أَجْمَعِينَ
- all together
Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers – upon them will be the curse of Allah and of the angels and the people, all together, (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 161)Tafsir
خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَا ۚ لَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمْ يُنْظَرُوْنَ ١٦٢
- khālidīna
- خَٰلِدِينَ
- (Will) abide forever
- fīhā
- فِيهَاۖ
- in it
- lā
- لَا
- Not
- yukhaffafu
- يُخَفَّفُ
- will be lightened
- ʿanhumu
- عَنْهُمُ
- for them
- l-ʿadhābu
- ٱلْعَذَابُ
- the punishment
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- yunẓarūna
- يُنظَرُونَ
- will be reprieved
Abiding eternally therein. The punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 162)Tafsir
وَاِلٰهُكُمْ اِلٰهٌ وَّاحِدٌۚ لَآاِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الرَّحْمٰنُ الرَّحِيْمُ ࣖ ١٦٣
- wa-ilāhukum
- وَإِلَٰهُكُمْ
- And your God
- ilāhun
- إِلَٰهٌ
- (is) God
- wāḥidun
- وَٰحِدٌۖ
- one (only)
- lā
- لَّآ
- (there is) no
- ilāha
- إِلَٰهَ
- god
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- huwa
- هُوَ
- Him
- l-raḥmānu
- ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ
- the Most Gracious
- l-raḥīmu
- ٱلرَّحِيمُ
- the Most Merciful
And your god is one God. There is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 163)Tafsir
اِنَّ فِيْ خَلْقِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافِ الَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَالْفُلْكِ الَّتِيْ تَجْرِيْ فِى الْبَحْرِ بِمَا يَنْفَعُ النَّاسَ وَمَآ اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ مِنْ مَّاۤءٍ فَاَحْيَا بِهِ الْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَبَثَّ فِيْهَا مِنْ كُلِّ دَاۤبَّةٍ ۖ وَّتَصْرِيْفِ الرِّيٰحِ وَالسَّحَابِ الْمُسَخَّرِ بَيْنَ السَّمَاۤءِ وَالْاَرْضِ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَّعْقِلُوْنَ ١٦٤
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed

- khalqi
- خَلْقِ
- (the) creation
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- (of) the heavens
- wal-arḍi
- وَٱلْأَرْضِ
- and the earth
- wa-ikh'tilāfi
- وَٱخْتِلَٰفِ
- and alternation
- al-layli
- ٱلَّيْلِ
- of the night
- wal-nahāri
- وَٱلنَّهَارِ
- and the day
- wal-ful'ki
- وَٱلْفُلْكِ
- and the ships
- allatī
- ٱلَّتِى
- which
- tajrī
- تَجْرِى
- sail
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-baḥri
- ٱلْبَحْرِ
- the sea
- bimā
- بِمَا
- with what
- yanfaʿu
- يَنفَعُ
- benefits
- l-nāsa
- ٱلنَّاسَ
- [the] people
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- and what
- anzala
- أَنزَلَ
- (has) sent down
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-samāi
- ٱلسَّمَآءِ
- the sky
- min
- مِن
- [of]
- māin
- مَّآءٍ
- water
- fa-aḥyā
- فَأَحْيَا
- giving life
- bihi
- بِهِ
- thereby
- l-arḍa
- ٱلْأَرْضَ
- (to) the earth
- baʿda
- بَعْدَ
- after
- mawtihā
- مَوْتِهَا
- its death
- wabatha
- وَبَثَّ
- and dispersing
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- therein
- min
- مِن
- [of]
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- dābbatin
- دَآبَّةٍ
- moving creature
- wataṣrīfi
- وَتَصْرِيفِ
- and directing
- l-riyāḥi
- ٱلرِّيَٰحِ
- (of) the winds
- wal-saḥābi
- وَٱلسَّحَابِ
- and the clouds
- l-musakhari
- ٱلْمُسَخَّرِ
- [the] controlled
- bayna
- بَيْنَ
- between
- l-samāi
- ٱلسَّمَآءِ
- the sky
- wal-arḍi
- وَٱلْأَرْضِ
- and the earth
- laāyātin
- لَءَايَٰتٍ
- surely (are) Signs
- liqawmin
- لِّقَوْمٍ
- for a people
- yaʿqilūna
- يَعْقِلُونَ
- who use their intellect
Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allah has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and earth are signs for a people who use reason. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 164)Tafsir
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَّتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ اَنْدَادًا يُّحِبُّوْنَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللّٰهِ ۗ وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِّلّٰهِ ۙوَلَوْ يَرَى الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْٓا اِذْ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَۙ اَنَّ الْقُوَّةَ لِلّٰهِ جَمِيْعًا ۙوَّاَنَّ اللّٰهَ شَدِيْدُ الْعَذَابِ ١٦٥
- wamina
- وَمِنَ
- And among
- l-nāsi
- ٱلنَّاسِ
- the mankind
- man
- مَن
- who
- yattakhidhu
- يَتَّخِذُ
- takes
- min
- مِن
- from
- dūni
- دُونِ
- besides
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- andādan
- أَندَادًا
- equals
- yuḥibbūnahum
- يُحِبُّونَهُمْ
- They love them
- kaḥubbi
- كَحُبِّ
- as (they should) love
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۖ
- Allah
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- And those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوٓا۟
- believe[d]
- ashaddu
- أَشَدُّ
- (are) stronger
- ḥubban
- حُبًّا
- (in) love
- lillahi
- لِّلَّهِۗ
- for Allah
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- And if
- yarā
- يَرَى
- would see
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ẓalamū
- ظَلَمُوٓا۟
- wronged
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- yarawna
- يَرَوْنَ
- they will see
- l-ʿadhāba
- ٱلْعَذَابَ
- the punishment
- anna
- أَنَّ
- that
- l-quwata
- ٱلْقُوَّةَ
- the power
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- (belongs) to Allah
- jamīʿan
- جَمِيعًا
- all
- wa-anna
- وَأَنَّ
- and [that]
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- shadīdu
- شَدِيدُ
- (is) severe
- l-ʿadhābi
- ٱلْعَذَابِ
- (in) [the] punishment
And [yet], among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love Allah. But those who believe are stronger in love for Allah. And if only they who have wronged would consider [that] when they see the punishment, [they will be certain] that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is severe in punishment. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 165)Tafsir
اِذْ تَبَرَّاَ الَّذِيْنَ اتُّبِعُوْا مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اتَّبَعُوْا وَرَاَوُا الْعَذَابَ وَتَقَطَّعَتْ بِهِمُ الْاَسْبَابُ ١٦٦
- idh
- إِذْ
- When
- tabarra-a
- تَبَرَّأَ
- will disown
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ittubiʿū
- ٱتُّبِعُوا۟
- were followed
- mina
- مِنَ
- [from]
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ittabaʿū
- ٱتَّبَعُوا۟
- followed
- wara-awū
- وَرَأَوُا۟
- and they will see
- l-ʿadhāba
- ٱلْعَذَابَ
- the punishment
- wataqaṭṭaʿat
- وَتَقَطَّعَتْ
- [and] will be cut off
- bihimu
- بِهِمُ
- for them
- l-asbābu
- ٱلْأَسْبَابُ
- the relations
[And they should consider that] when those who have been followed disassociate themselves from those who followed [them], and they [all] see the punishment, and cut off from them are the ties [of relationship], (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 166)Tafsir
وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ اتَّبَعُوْا لَوْ اَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَتَبَرَّاَ مِنْهُمْ ۗ كَمَا تَبَرَّءُوْا مِنَّا ۗ كَذٰلِكَ يُرِيْهِمُ اللّٰهُ اَعْمَالَهُمْ حَسَرٰتٍ عَلَيْهِمْ ۗ وَمَا هُمْ بِخَارِجِيْنَ مِنَ النَّارِ ࣖ ١٦٧
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- And said
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ittabaʿū
- ٱتَّبَعُوا۟
- followed
- law
- لَوْ
- "(Only) if
- anna
- أَنَّ
- [that]
- lanā
- لَنَا
- for us
- karratan
- كَرَّةً
- a return
- fanatabarra-a
- فَنَتَبَرَّأَ
- then we will disown
- min'hum
- مِنْهُمْ
- [from] them
- kamā
- كَمَا
- as
- tabarraū
- تَبَرَّءُوا۟
- they disown
- minnā
- مِنَّاۗ
- [from] us"
- kadhālika
- كَذَٰلِكَ
- Thus
- yurīhimu
- يُرِيهِمُ
- will show them
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- aʿmālahum
- أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ
- their deeds
- ḥasarātin
- حَسَرَٰتٍ
- (as) regrets
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْۖ
- for them
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- hum
- هُم
- they
- bikhārijīna
- بِخَٰرِجِينَ
- will come out
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِ
- the Fire
Those who followed will say, "If only we had another turn [at worldly life] so we could disassociate ourselves from them as they have disassociated themselves from us." Thus will Allah show them their deeds as regrets upon them. And they are never to emerge from the Fire. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 167)Tafsir
يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ كُلُوْا مِمَّا فِى الْاَرْضِ حَلٰلًا طَيِّبًا ۖوَّلَا تَتَّبِعُوْا خُطُوٰتِ الشَّيْطٰنِۗ اِنَّهٗ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِيْنٌ ١٦٨
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O
- l-nāsu
- ٱلنَّاسُ
- mankind!
- kulū
- كُلُوا۟
- Eat
- mimmā
- مِمَّا
- of what
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- ḥalālan
- حَلَٰلًا
- lawful
- ṭayyiban
- طَيِّبًا
- (and) good
- walā
- وَلَا
- And (do) not
- tattabiʿū
- تَتَّبِعُوا۟
- follow
- khuṭuwāti
- خُطُوَٰتِ
- (the) footsteps (of)
- l-shayṭāni
- ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِۚ
- the Shaitaan
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed, he
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- (is) to you
- ʿaduwwun
- عَدُوٌّ
- an enemy
- mubīnun
- مُّبِينٌ
- clear
O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is] lawful and good and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 168)Tafsir
اِنَّمَا يَأْمُرُكُمْ بِالسُّوْۤءِ وَالْفَحْشَاۤءِ وَاَنْ تَقُوْلُوْا عَلَى اللّٰهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ ١٦٩
- innamā
- إِنَّمَا
- Only
- yamurukum
- يَأْمُرُكُم
- he commands you
- bil-sūi
- بِٱلسُّوٓءِ
- to (do) the evil
- wal-faḥshāi
- وَٱلْفَحْشَآءِ
- and the shameful
- wa-an
- وَأَن
- and that
- taqūlū
- تَقُولُوا۟
- you say
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- about
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- mā
- مَا
- what
- lā
- لَا
- not
- taʿlamūna
- تَعْلَمُونَ
- you know
He only orders you to evil and immorality and to say about Allah what you do not know. (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 169)Tafsir
وَاِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوْا مَآ اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ قَالُوْا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَآ اَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ اٰبَاۤءَنَا ۗ اَوَلَوْ كَانَ اٰبَاۤؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُوْنَ شَيْـًٔا وَّلَا يَهْتَدُوْنَ ١٧٠
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- qīla
- قِيلَ
- it is said
- lahumu
- لَهُمُ
- to them
- ittabiʿū
- ٱتَّبِعُوا۟
- "Follow
- mā
- مَآ
- what
- anzala
- أَنزَلَ
- has revealed
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah"
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- they said
- bal
- بَلْ
- "Nay
- nattabiʿu
- نَتَّبِعُ
- we follow
- mā
- مَآ
- what
- alfaynā
- أَلْفَيْنَا
- we found
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- [on it]
- ābāanā
- ءَابَآءَنَآۗ
- our forefathers (following)
- awalaw
- أَوَلَوْ
- Even though
- kāna
- كَانَ
- [were]
- ābāuhum
- ءَابَآؤُهُمْ
- their forefathers
- lā
- لَا
- (did) not
- yaʿqilūna
- يَعْقِلُونَ
- understand
- shayan
- شَيْـًٔا
- anything
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yahtadūna
- يَهْتَدُونَ
- were they guided?
And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allah has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that which we found our fathers doing." Even though their fathers understood nothing, nor were they guided? (QS. [2] Al-Baqarah: 170)Tafsir
