Al-Qur'an Surah Maryam Verse 80
Maryam [19]: 80 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَّنَرِثُهٗ مَا يَقُوْلُ وَيَأْتِيْنَا فَرْدًا (مريم : ١٩)
- wanarithuhu
- وَنَرِثُهُۥ
- And We will inherit (from) him
- mā
- مَا

- yaqūlu
- يَقُولُ
- he says
- wayatīnā
- وَيَأْتِينَا
- and he will come to Us
- fardan
- فَرْدًا
- alone
Transliteration:
Wa narisuhoo maa yaqoolu wa yaateenaa fardaa(QS. Maryam:80)
English / Sahih Translation:
And We will inherit him [in] what he mentions, and he will come to Us alone. (QS. Maryam, ayah 80)

and We shall take over from him that which he talks about, of wealth and children, and he shall come to Us, on the Day of Resurrection, alone, with neither wealth nor children.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
وَنَرِثُهُ مَا يَقُولُ
And We shall inherit from him all that he speaks of, (His wealth and children).
It means, "We will take all of this from him, in opposition to his claim that he will be given more wealth and children in the Hereafter than he had in this life."
To the contrary, in the Hereafter that which he had in this life will be taken from him.
This is why Allah says,
وَيَأْتِينَا فَرْدًا
And he shall come to Us alone.
without wealth or children
