81
وَاتَّخَذُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ اٰلِهَةً لِّيَكُوْنُوْا لَهُمْ عِزًّا ۙ ٨١
- wa-ittakhadhū
- وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟
- And they have taken
- min
- مِن
- besides Allah
- dūni
- دُونِ
- besides Allah
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- besides Allah
- ālihatan
- ءَالِهَةً
- gods
- liyakūnū
- لِّيَكُونُوا۟
- that they may be
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- ʿizzan
- عِزًّا
- an honor
And they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that they would be for them [a source of] honor. (QS. [19] Maryam: 81)Tafsir
82
كَلَّا ۗسَيَكْفُرُوْنَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ وَيَكُوْنُوْنَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضِدًّا ࣖ ٨٢
- kallā
- كَلَّاۚ
- Nay
- sayakfurūna
- سَيَكْفُرُونَ
- they will deny
- biʿibādatihim
- بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ
- their worship (of them)
- wayakūnūna
- وَيَكُونُونَ
- and they will be
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- against them
- ḍiddan
- ضِدًّا
- opponents
No! They [i.e., those "gods"] will deny their worship of them and will be against them opponents [on the Day of Judgement]. (QS. [19] Maryam: 82)Tafsir
83
اَلَمْ تَرَ اَنَّآ اَرْسَلْنَا الشَّيٰطِيْنَ عَلَى الْكٰفِرِيْنَ تَؤُزُّهُمْ اَزًّا ۙ ٨٣
- alam
- أَلَمْ
- Do not
- tara
- تَرَ
- you see
- annā
- أَنَّآ
- that We
- arsalnā
- أَرْسَلْنَا
- [We] have sent
- l-shayāṭīna
- ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ
- the devils
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- upon
- l-kāfirīna
- ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
- the disbelievers
- ta-uzzuhum
- تَؤُزُّهُمْ
- inciting them
- azzan
- أَزًّا
- (with) incitement
Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers, inciting them [to evil] with [constant] incitement? (QS. [19] Maryam: 83)Tafsir
84
فَلَا تَعْجَلْ عَلَيْهِمْۗ اِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمْ عَدًّا ۗ ٨٤
- falā
- فَلَا
- So (do) not
- taʿjal
- تَعْجَلْ
- make haste
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْۖ
- against them
- innamā
- إِنَّمَا
- Only
- naʿuddu
- نَعُدُّ
- We count
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- ʿaddan
- عَدًّا
- a number
So be not impatient over them. We only count out [i.e., allow] to them a [limited] number. (QS. [19] Maryam: 84)Tafsir
85
يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ الْمُتَّقِيْنَ اِلَى الرَّحْمٰنِ وَفْدًا ٨٥
- yawma
- يَوْمَ
- (The) Day
- naḥshuru
- نَحْشُرُ
- We will gather
- l-mutaqīna
- ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
- the righteous
- ilā
- إِلَى
- to
- l-raḥmāni
- ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ
- the Most Gracious
- wafdan
- وَفْدًا
- (as) a delegation
On the Day We will gather the righteous to the Most Merciful as a delegation (QS. [19] Maryam: 85)Tafsir
86
وَنَسُوْقُ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَ اِلٰى جَهَنَّمَ وِرْدًا ۘ ٨٦
- wanasūqu
- وَنَسُوقُ
- And We will drive
- l-muj'rimīna
- ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
- the criminals
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- jahannama
- جَهَنَّمَ
- Hell
- wir'dan
- وِرْدًا
- thirsty
And will drive the criminals to Hell in thirst (QS. [19] Maryam: 86)Tafsir
87
لَا يَمْلِكُوْنَ الشَّفَاعَةَ اِلَّا مَنِ اتَّخَذَ عِنْدَ الرَّحْمٰنِ عَهْدًا ۘ ٨٧
- lā
- لَّا
- Not
- yamlikūna
- يَمْلِكُونَ
- they will have the power
- l-shafāʿata
- ٱلشَّفَٰعَةَ
- (of) the intercession
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- mani
- مَنِ
- (he) who
- ittakhadha
- ٱتَّخَذَ
- has taken
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- from
- l-raḥmāni
- ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ
- the Most Gracious
- ʿahdan
- عَهْدًا
- a covenant
None will have [power of] intercession except he who had taken from the Most Merciful a covenant. (QS. [19] Maryam: 87)Tafsir
88
وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمٰنُ وَلَدًا ۗ ٨٨
- waqālū
- وَقَالُوا۟
- And they say
- ittakhadha
- ٱتَّخَذَ
- "Has taken
- l-raḥmānu
- ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ
- the Most Gracious
- waladan
- وَلَدًا
- a son"
And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son." (QS. [19] Maryam: 88)Tafsir
89
لَقَدْ جِئْتُمْ شَيْـًٔا اِدًّا ۙ ٨٩
- laqad
- لَّقَدْ
- Verily
- ji'tum
- جِئْتُمْ
- you have put forth
- shayan
- شَيْـًٔا
- a thing
- iddan
- إِدًّا
- atrocious
You have done an atrocious thing. (QS. [19] Maryam: 89)Tafsir
90
تَكَادُ السَّمٰوٰتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْهُ وَتَنْشَقُّ الْاَرْضُ وَتَخِرُّ الْجِبَالُ هَدًّا ۙ ٩٠
- takādu
- تَكَادُ
- Almost
- l-samāwātu
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ
- the heavens
- yatafaṭṭarna
- يَتَفَطَّرْنَ
- get torn
- min'hu
- مِنْهُ
- therefrom
- watanshaqqu
- وَتَنشَقُّ
- and splits asunder
- l-arḍu
- ٱلْأَرْضُ
- the earth
- watakhirru
- وَتَخِرُّ
- and collapse
- l-jibālu
- ٱلْجِبَالُ
- the mountain
- haddan
- هَدًّا
- (in) devastation
The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation (QS. [19] Maryam: 90)Tafsir
