وَاِنْ مِّنْكُمْ اِلَّا وَارِدُهَا ۚ كَانَ عَلٰى رَبِّكَ حَتْمًا مَّقْضِيًّا ۚ ٧١
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- And (there is) not
- minkum
- مِّنكُمْ
- (any) of you
- illā
- إِلَّا
- but
- wāriduhā
- وَارِدُهَاۚ
- (will be) passing over it
- kāna
- كَانَ
- (This) is
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- upon
- rabbika
- رَبِّكَ
- your Lord
- ḥatman
- حَتْمًا
- an inevitability
- maqḍiyyan
- مَّقْضِيًّا
- decreed
And there is none of you except he will come to it. This is upon your Lord an inevitability decreed. (QS. [19] Maryam: 71)Tafsir
ثُمَّ نُنَجِّى الَّذِيْنَ اتَّقَوْا وَّنَذَرُ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ فِيْهَا جِثِيًّا ٧٢
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- nunajjī
- نُنَجِّى
- We will deliver
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ittaqaw
- ٱتَّقَوا۟
- feared (Allah)
- wanadharu
- وَّنَذَرُ
- and We will leave
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- therein
- jithiyyan
- جِثِيًّا
- bent (on) knees
Then We will save those who feared Allah and leave the wrongdoers within it, on their knees. (QS. [19] Maryam: 72)Tafsir
وَاِذَا تُتْلٰى عَلَيْهِمْ اٰيٰتُنَا بَيِّنٰتٍ قَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لِلَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓاۙ اَيُّ الْفَرِيْقَيْنِ خَيْرٌ مَّقَامًا وَّاَحْسَنُ نَدِيًّا ٧٣
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- tut'lā
- تُتْلَىٰ
- are recited
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- to them
- āyātunā
- ءَايَٰتُنَا
- Our Verses
- bayyinātin
- بَيِّنَٰتٍ
- clear
- qāla
- قَالَ
- say
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieved
- lilladhīna
- لِلَّذِينَ
- to those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوٓا۟
- believed
- ayyu
- أَىُّ
- "Which
- l-farīqayni
- ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ
- (of) the two groups
- khayrun
- خَيْرٌ
- (is) better
- maqāman
- مَّقَامًا
- (in) position
- wa-aḥsanu
- وَأَحْسَنُ
- and best
- nadiyyan
- نَدِيًّا
- (in) assembly?"
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Which of [our] two parties is best in position and best in association?" (QS. [19] Maryam: 73)Tafsir
وَكَمْ اَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُمْ مِّنْ قَرْنٍ هُمْ اَحْسَنُ اَثَاثًا وَّرِءْيًا ٧٤
- wakam
- وَكَمْ
- And how many
- ahlaknā
- أَهْلَكْنَا
- We destroyed
- qablahum
- قَبْلَهُم
- before them
- min
- مِّن
- of
- qarnin
- قَرْنٍ
- a generation -
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- aḥsanu
- أَحْسَنُ
- (were) better
- athāthan
- أَثَٰثًا
- (in) possessions
- wari'yan
- وَرِءْيًا
- and appearance?
And how many a generation have We destroyed before them who were better in possessions and [outward] appearance? (QS. [19] Maryam: 74)Tafsir
قُلْ مَنْ كَانَ فِى الضَّلٰلَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ لَهُ الرَّحْمٰنُ مَدًّا ەۚ حَتّٰىٓ اِذَا رَاَوْا مَا يُوْعَدُوْنَ اِمَّا الْعَذَابَ وَاِمَّا السَّاعَةَ ۗفَسَيَعْلَمُوْنَ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَّاَضْعَفُ جُنْدًا ٧٥

- قُلْ
- Say
- man
- مَن
- "Whoever
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-ḍalālati
- ٱلضَّلَٰلَةِ
- [the] error
- falyamdud
- فَلْيَمْدُدْ
- then surely will extend
- lahu
- لَهُ
- for him
- l-raḥmānu
- ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ
- the Most Gracious
- maddan
- مَدًّاۚ
- an extension
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰٓ
- until
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- ra-aw
- رَأَوْا۟
- they see
- mā
- مَا
- what
- yūʿadūna
- يُوعَدُونَ
- they were promised
- immā
- إِمَّا
- either
- l-ʿadhāba
- ٱلْعَذَابَ
- the punishment
- wa-immā
- وَإِمَّا
- or
- l-sāʿata
- ٱلسَّاعَةَ
- the Hour
- fasayaʿlamūna
- فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ
- then they will know
- man
- مَنْ
- who
- huwa
- هُوَ
- [he]
- sharrun
- شَرٌّ
- (is) worst
- makānan
- مَّكَانًا
- (in) position
- wa-aḍʿafu
- وَأَضْعَفُ
- and weaker
- jundan
- جُندًا
- (in) forces"
Say, "Whoever is in error – let the Most Merciful extend for him an extension [in wealth and time] until, when they see that which they were promised – either punishment [in this world] or the Hour [of resurrection] – they will come to know who is worst in position and weaker in soldiers." (QS. [19] Maryam: 75)Tafsir
وَيَزِيْدُ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْنَ اهْتَدَوْا هُدًىۗ وَالْبٰقِيٰتُ الصّٰلِحٰتُ خَيْرٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَّخَيْرٌ مَّرَدًّا ٧٦
- wayazīdu
- وَيَزِيدُ
- And Allah increases
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- And Allah increases
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ih'tadaw
- ٱهْتَدَوْا۟
- accept guidance
- hudan
- هُدًىۗ
- (in) guidance
- wal-bāqiyātu
- وَٱلْبَٰقِيَٰتُ
- And the everlasting
- l-ṣāliḥātu
- ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتُ
- good deeds
- khayrun
- خَيْرٌ
- (are) better
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- near
- rabbika
- رَبِّكَ
- your Lord
- thawāban
- ثَوَابًا
- (for) reward
- wakhayrun
- وَخَيْرٌ
- and better
- maraddan
- مَّرَدًّا
- (for) return
And Allah increases those who were guided, in guidance, and the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for recourse. (QS. [19] Maryam: 76)Tafsir
اَفَرَاَيْتَ الَّذِيْ كَفَرَ بِاٰيٰتِنَا وَقَالَ لَاُوْتَيَنَّ مَالًا وَّوَلَدًا ۗ ٧٧
- afara-ayta
- أَفَرَءَيْتَ
- Then have you seen
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- he who
- kafara
- كَفَرَ
- disbelieved
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- in Our Verses
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- and said
- laūtayanna
- لَأُوتَيَنَّ
- "Surely I will be given
- mālan
- مَالًا
- wealth
- wawaladan
- وَوَلَدًا
- and children?"
Then, have you seen he who disbelieved in Our verses and said, "I will surely be given wealth and children [in the next life]"? (QS. [19] Maryam: 77)Tafsir
اَطَّلَعَ الْغَيْبَ اَمِ اتَّخَذَ عِنْدَ الرَّحْمٰنِ عَهْدًا ۙ ٧٨
- aṭṭalaʿa
- أَطَّلَعَ
- Has he looked
- l-ghayba
- ٱلْغَيْبَ
- (into) the unseen
- ami
- أَمِ
- or
- ittakhadha
- ٱتَّخَذَ
- has he taken
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- from
- l-raḥmāni
- ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ
- the Most Gracious
- ʿahdan
- عَهْدًا
- a promise?
Has he looked into the unseen, or has he taken from the Most Merciful a promise? (QS. [19] Maryam: 78)Tafsir
كَلَّاۗ سَنَكْتُبُ مَا يَقُوْلُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهٗ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ مَدًّا ۙ ٧٩
- kallā
- كَلَّاۚ
- Nay
- sanaktubu
- سَنَكْتُبُ
- We will record
- mā
- مَا
- what
- yaqūlu
- يَقُولُ
- he says
- wanamuddu
- وَنَمُدُّ
- and We will extend
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- for him
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-ʿadhābi
- ٱلْعَذَابِ
- the punishment
- maddan
- مَدًّا
- extensively
No! We will record what he says and extend [i.e., increase] for him from the punishment extensively. (QS. [19] Maryam: 79)Tafsir
وَّنَرِثُهٗ مَا يَقُوْلُ وَيَأْتِيْنَا فَرْدًا ٨٠
- wanarithuhu
- وَنَرِثُهُۥ
- And We will inherit (from) him
- mā
- مَا
- what
- yaqūlu
- يَقُولُ
- he says
- wayatīnā
- وَيَأْتِينَا
- and he will come to Us
- fardan
- فَرْدًا
- alone
And We will inherit him [in] what he mentions, and he will come to Us alone. (QS. [19] Maryam: 80)Tafsir
