وَاذْكُرْ فِى الْكِتٰبِ مُوْسٰٓىۖ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ مُخْلَصًا وَّكَانَ رَسُوْلًا نَّبِيًّا ٥١
- wa-udh'kur
- وَٱذْكُرْ
- And mention
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-kitābi
- ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
- the Book
- mūsā
- مُوسَىٰٓۚ
- Musa
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed he
- kāna
- كَانَ
- was
- mukh'laṣan
- مُخْلَصًا
- chosen
- wakāna
- وَكَانَ
- and was
- rasūlan
- رَسُولًا
- a Messenger
- nabiyyan
- نَّبِيًّا
- a Prophet
And mention in the Book, Moses. Indeed, he was chosen, and he was a messenger and a prophet. (QS. [19] Maryam: 51)Tafsir
وَنَادَيْنٰهُ مِنْ جَانِبِ الطُّوْرِ الْاَيْمَنِ وَقَرَّبْنٰهُ نَجِيًّا ٥٢
- wanādaynāhu
- وَنَٰدَيْنَٰهُ
- And We called him
- min
- مِن
- from
- jānibi
- جَانِبِ
- (the) side
- l-ṭūri
- ٱلطُّورِ
- (of) the Mount
- l-aymani
- ٱلْأَيْمَنِ
- the right
- waqarrabnāhu
- وَقَرَّبْنَٰهُ
- and brought him near
- najiyyan
- نَجِيًّا
- (for) conversation
And We called him from the side of the mount at [his] right and brought him near, confiding [to him]. (QS. [19] Maryam: 52)Tafsir
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهٗ مِنْ رَّحْمَتِنَآ اَخَاهُ هٰرُوْنَ نَبِيًّا ٥٣
- wawahabnā
- وَوَهَبْنَا
- And We bestowed
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- [to] him
- min
- مِن
- from
- raḥmatinā
- رَّحْمَتِنَآ
- Our Mercy
- akhāhu
- أَخَاهُ
- his brother
- hārūna
- هَٰرُونَ
- Harun
- nabiyyan
- نَبِيًّا
- a Prophet
And We gave him out of Our mercy his brother Aaron as a prophet. (QS. [19] Maryam: 53)Tafsir
وَاذْكُرْ فِى الْكِتٰبِ اِسْمٰعِيْلَ ۖاِنَّهٗ كَانَ صَادِقَ الْوَعْدِ وَكَانَ رَسُوْلًا نَّبِيًّا ۚ ٥٤
- wa-udh'kur
- وَٱذْكُرْ
- And mention
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-kitābi
- ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
- the Book
- is'māʿīla
- إِسْمَٰعِيلَۚ
- Ismail
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed he
- kāna
- كَانَ
- was
- ṣādiqa
- صَادِقَ
- true
- l-waʿdi
- ٱلْوَعْدِ
- (to his) promise
- wakāna
- وَكَانَ
- and was
- rasūlan
- رَسُولًا
- a Messenger -
- nabiyyan
- نَّبِيًّا
- a Prophet
And mention in the Book, Ishmael. Indeed, he was true to his promise, and he was a messenger and a prophet. (QS. [19] Maryam: 54)Tafsir
وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ اَهْلَهٗ بِالصَّلٰوةِ وَالزَّكٰوةِۖ وَكَانَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهٖ مَرْضِيًّا ٥٥
- wakāna
- وَكَانَ
- And he used
- yamuru
- يَأْمُرُ
- (to) enjoin
- ahlahu
- أَهْلَهُۥ
- (on) his people
- bil-ṣalati
- بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ
- the prayer
- wal-zakati
- وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ
- and zakah
- wakāna
- وَكَانَ
- and was
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- near
- rabbihi
- رَبِّهِۦ
- his Lord
- marḍiyyan
- مَرْضِيًّا
- pleasing
And he used to enjoin on his people prayer and Zakah and was to his Lord pleasing [i.e., accepted by Him]. (QS. [19] Maryam: 55)Tafsir
وَاذْكُرْ فِى الْكِتٰبِ اِدْرِيْسَۖ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ صِدِّيْقًا نَّبِيًّا ۙ ٥٦
- wa-udh'kur
- وَٱذْكُرْ
- And mention
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-kitābi
- ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
- the Book
- id'rīsa
- إِدْرِيسَۚ
- Idris
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed he
- kāna
- كَانَ
- was
- ṣiddīqan
- صِدِّيقًا
- truthful
- nabiyyan
- نَّبِيًّا
- a Prophet
And mention in the Book, Idrees. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet. (QS. [19] Maryam: 56)Tafsir
وَّرَفَعْنٰهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا ٥٧
- warafaʿnāhu
- وَرَفَعْنَٰهُ
- And We raised him
- makānan
- مَكَانًا
- (to) a position
- ʿaliyyan
- عَلِيًّا
- high
And We raised him to a high station. (QS. [19] Maryam: 57)Tafsir
اُولٰۤىِٕكَ الَّذِيْنَ اَنْعَمَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِّنَ النَّبِيّٖنَ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ اٰدَمَ وَمِمَّنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوْحٍۖ وَّمِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ وَاِسْرَاۤءِيْلَ ۖوَمِمَّنْ هَدَيْنَا وَاجْتَبَيْنَاۗ اِذَا تُتْلٰى عَلَيْهِمْ اٰيٰتُ الرَّحْمٰنِ خَرُّوْا سُجَّدًا وَّبُكِيًّا ۩ ٥٨
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- Those
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (were) the ones whom
- anʿama
- أَنْعَمَ
- Allah bestowed favor
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah bestowed favor
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِم
- upon them
- mina
- مِّنَ
- from (among)
- l-nabiyīna
- ٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ
- the Prophets
- min
- مِن
- of
- dhurriyyati
- ذُرِّيَّةِ
- (the) offspring
- ādama
- ءَادَمَ
- (of) Adam
- wamimman
- وَمِمَّنْ
- and of those
- ḥamalnā
- حَمَلْنَا
- We carried
- maʿa
- مَعَ
- with
- nūḥin
- نُوحٍ
- Nuh
- wamin
- وَمِن
- and of
- dhurriyyati
- ذُرِّيَّةِ
- (the) offspring
- ib'rāhīma
- إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
- (of) Ibrahim
- wa-is'rāīla
- وَإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
- and Israel
- wamimman
- وَمِمَّنْ
- and of (those) whom
- hadaynā
- هَدَيْنَا
- We guided
- wa-ij'tabaynā
- وَٱجْتَبَيْنَآۚ
- and We chose
- idhā
- إِذَا
- When
- tut'lā
- تُتْلَىٰ
- were recited
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- to them
- āyātu
- ءَايَٰتُ
- (the) Verses
- l-raḥmāni
- ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ
- (of) the Most Gracious
- kharrū
- خَرُّوا۟
- they fell
- sujjadan
- سُجَّدًا
- prostrating
- wabukiyyan
- وَبُكِيًّا۩
- and weeping
Those were the ones upon whom Allah bestowed favor from among the prophets of the descendants of Adam and of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel [i.e., Jacob], and of those whom We guided and chose. When the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell in prostration and weeping. (QS. [19] Maryam: 58)Tafsir
۞ فَخَلَفَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ اَضَاعُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوٰتِ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا ۙ ٥٩
- fakhalafa
- فَخَلَفَ
- Then succeeded
- min
- مِنۢ
- after them
- baʿdihim
- بَعْدِهِمْ
- after them
- khalfun
- خَلْفٌ
- successors
- aḍāʿū
- أَضَاعُوا۟
- who neglected
- l-ṣalata
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
- the prayer
- wa-ittabaʿū
- وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟
- and they followed
- l-shahawāti
- ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِۖ
- the lusts
- fasawfa
- فَسَوْفَ
- so soon
- yalqawna
- يَلْقَوْنَ
- they will meet
- ghayyan
- غَيًّا
- evil
But there came after them successors [i.e., later generations] who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil – (QS. [19] Maryam: 59)Tafsir
اِلَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَاٰمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ يَدْخُلُوْنَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُوْنَ شَيْـًٔا ۙ ٦٠
- illā
- إِلَّا
- Except
- man
- مَن
- (one) who
- tāba
- تَابَ
- repented
- waāmana
- وَءَامَنَ
- and believed
- waʿamila
- وَعَمِلَ
- and did
- ṣāliḥan
- صَٰلِحًا
- good (deeds)
- fa-ulāika
- فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- Then those
- yadkhulūna
- يَدْخُلُونَ
- will enter
- l-janata
- ٱلْجَنَّةَ
- Paradise
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yuẓ'lamūna
- يُظْلَمُونَ
- they will be wronged
- shayan
- شَيْـًٔا
- (in) anything
Except those who repent, believe and do righteousness; for those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged at all. (QS. [19] Maryam: 60)Tafsir
