Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Kahf Verse 88

Al-Kahf [18]: 88 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

وَاَمَّا مَنْ اٰمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلَهٗ جَزَاۤءً ۨالْحُسْنٰىۚ وَسَنَقُوْلُ لَهٗ مِنْ اَمْرِنَا يُسْرًا ۗ (الكهف : ١٨)

wa-ammā
وَأَمَّا
But as for
man
مَنْ
(one) who
āmana
ءَامَنَ
believes
waʿamila
وَعَمِلَ
and does
ṣāliḥan
صَٰلِحًا
righteous (deeds)
falahu
فَلَهُۥ
then for him
jazāan
جَزَآءً
(is) a reward
l-ḥus'nā
ٱلْحُسْنَىٰۖ
good
wasanaqūlu
وَسَنَقُولُ
And we will speak
lahu
لَهُۥ
to him
min
مِنْ
from
amrinā
أَمْرِنَا
our command
yus'ran
يُسْرًا
(with) ease"

Transliteration:

Wa ammaa man aamana wa 'amila saalihan falahoo jazaaa'anil husnaa wa sanaqoolu lahoo min amrinaa yusraa (QS. al-Kahf:88)

English / Sahih Translation:

But as for one who believes and does righteousness, he will have a reward of the best [i.e., Paradise], and we [i.e., Dhul-Qarnayn] will speak to him from our command with ease." (QS. Al-Kahf, ayah 88)

Mufti Taqi Usmani

As for the one who believes and acts righteously, he will have the best (life) as reward, and we shall speak to him politely in our directions.”

English Literal

And as for who believed and made/did correct/righteous deeds, so to him the best`s/goodnesses` reward/reimbursement , and we will say to him from our order/matter ease/flexibility.

Tafsir jalalayn

But as for him who believes and acts righteously, he shall have the fairest reward, namely, Paradise (the annexation construction [jaz'u l-husn, `the fairest reward'] is explicative; a variant reading has jaz'an al- husn, `[he shall have] as a requital that which is fairest'; al-Farr' said that this accusative [reading of jaz'an] is [intended] as an explanation [of the nature of the requital] by way of attribution [to `that which is fairest']; and we shall speak to him mildly in our command', that is to say, we shall command him with what he will find easy [to bear].

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

وَأَمَّا مَنْ امَنَ

But as for him who believes,

meaning `who follows us in our call to worship Allah Alone with no partner or associate,'

وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا

and works righteousness,

فَلَهُ جَزَاء الْحُسْنَى

he shall have the best reward,

meaning in the Hereafter, with Allah.

وَسَنَقُولُ لَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِنَا يُسْرًا



and we (Dhul-Qarnayn) shall speak unto him mild words.

Mujahid said,

`(words of) kindness.
