Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Kahf Verse 72
Al-Kahf [18]: 72 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
قَالَ اَلَمْ اَقُلْ اِنَّكَ لَنْ تَسْتَطِيْعَ مَعِيَ صَبْرًا (الكهف : ١٨)

Transliteration:
Qaala alam aqul innaka lan tastatee'a ma'iya sabraa(QS. al-Kahf:72)
English / Sahih Translation:
[Al-Khidhr] said, "Did I not say that with me you would never be able to have patience?" (QS. Al-Kahf, ayah 72)

He said, “Did I not say that you can never bear with me patiently?”

Tafseer Ibn Kathir
He (Al-Khidr) said;Did I not tell you, that you would not be able to have patience with me!
meaning, `this thing that I did deliberately is one of the things I told you not to denounce me for, because you do not know the full story, and there is a reason and purpose for it that you do not know about.'
