Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Kahf Verse 53
Al-Kahf [18]: 53 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَرَاَ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ النَّارَ فَظَنُّوْٓا اَنَّهُمْ مُّوَاقِعُوْهَا وَلَمْ يَجِدُوْا عَنْهَا مَصْرِفًا ࣖ (الكهف : ١٨)
- waraā
- وَرَءَا
- And will see
- l-muj'rimūna
- ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
- the criminals
- l-nāra
- ٱلنَّارَ
- the Fire
- faẓannū
- فَظَنُّوٓا۟
- and they (will be) certain
- annahum
- أَنَّهُم
- that they
- muwāqiʿūhā
- مُّوَاقِعُوهَا
- are to fall in it
- walam
- وَلَمْ
- And not
- yajidū
- يَجِدُوا۟
- they will find
- ʿanhā
- عَنْهَا
- from it
- maṣrifan
- مَصْرِفًا
- a way of escape
Transliteration:
Wa ra al mujrimoonan Naara fazannooo annahum muwaaqi'oohaa wa lam yajidoo 'anhaa masrifaa(QS. al-Kahf:53)
English / Sahih Translation:
And the criminals will see the Fire and will be certain that they are to fall therein. And they will not find from it a way elsewhere. (QS. Al-Kahf, ayah 53)

And the criminals will behold the Fire and realise that, are certain that, they are about to fall into it. And they will find no means of avoiding it, of circumventing [it].
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
وَرَأَى الْمُجْرِمُونَ النَّارَ فَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُم مُّوَاقِعُوهَا
And the criminals shall see the Fire and apprehend that they are to fall therein.
meaning when they see Hell with their own eyes, since it is being dragged forth by seventy thousand reins, each pulled by seventy thousand angels. When,
وَرَأَى الْمُجْرِمُونَ النَّارَ
(the criminals shall see the Fire), they will realize that they cannot escape being thrown into it, and that will only intensify their anxiety and distress, because the anticipation and fear of punishment is in itself a real punishment.
وَلَمْ يَجِدُوا عَنْهَا مَصْرِفًا
And they will find no way of escape from it.
means, they will have no way of fleeing, it will be inevitable
