Al-Kahf [18]: 33 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

كِلْتَا الْجَنَّتَيْنِ اٰتَتْ اُكُلَهَا وَلَمْ تَظْلِمْ مِّنْهُ شَيْـًٔاۙ وَّفَجَّرْنَا خِلٰلَهُمَا نَهَرًاۙ (الكهف : ١٨)

And We caused to gush forth

a river

Transliteration:

Kiltal jannataini aatat ukulahaa wa lam tazlim minhu shai'anw wa fajjarnaa khi laalahumaa naharaa (QS. al-Kahf:33)

English / Sahih Translation:

Each of the two gardens produced its fruit and did not fall short thereof in anything. And We caused to gush forth within them a river. (QS. Al-Kahf, ayah 33)

Both the gardens brought forth their fruit, and suppressed nothing from it, and We caused a stream to flow through them.

Tafsir jalalayn

Each of the two gardens (kilt, `each [of the two]' is a singular [noun] that indicates a dual [number]; and [the entire clause] is the subject) yielded (tat is the predicate thereof) its produce, its fruit, without stinting, diminishing, anything thereof. And We caused a stream to gush forth therein, to run through them.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

كِلْتَا الْجَنَّتَيْنِ اتَتْ أُكُلَهَا

Each of those two gardens brought forth its produce,

meaning, produced its fruits,

وَلَمْ تَظْلِمْ مِنْهُ شَيْيًا

and failed not in the least therein,

meaning, nothing at all was diminishing.

وَفَجَّرْنَا خِلَلَهُمَا نَهَرًا



and We caused a river to gush forth in the midst of both.

means, rivers were flowing through them here and there
