ۨالَّذِيْنَ كَانَتْ اَعْيُنُهُمْ فِيْ غِطَاۤءٍ عَنْ ذِكْرِيْ وَكَانُوْا لَا يَسْتَطِيْعُوْنَ سَمْعًا ࣖ ١٠١
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- Those
- kānat
- كَانَتْ
- had been
- aʿyunuhum
- أَعْيُنُهُمْ
- their eyes
- fī
- فِى
- within
- ghiṭāin
- غِطَآءٍ
- a cover
- ʿan
- عَن
- from
- dhik'rī
- ذِكْرِى
- My remembrance
- wakānū
- وَكَانُوا۟
- and were
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yastaṭīʿūna
- يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
- able
- samʿan
- سَمْعًا
- (to) hear
Those whose eyes had been within a cover [removed] from My remembrance, and they were not able to hear. (QS. [18] Al-Kahf: 101)Tafsir
اَفَحَسِبَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اَنْ يَّتَّخِذُوْا عِبَادِيْ مِنْ دُوْنِيْٓ اَوْلِيَاۤءَ ۗاِنَّآ اَعْتَدْنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكٰفِرِيْنَ نُزُلًا ١٠٢
- afaḥasiba
- أَفَحَسِبَ
- Do then think
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوٓا۟
- disbelieve
- an
- أَن
- that
- yattakhidhū
- يَتَّخِذُوا۟
- they (can) take
- ʿibādī
- عِبَادِى
- My servants
- min
- مِن
- besides Me
- dūnī
- دُونِىٓ
- besides Me
- awliyāa
- أَوْلِيَآءَۚ
- (as) protectors?
- innā
- إِنَّآ
- Indeed, We
- aʿtadnā
- أَعْتَدْنَا
- We have prepared
- jahannama
- جَهَنَّمَ
- Hell
- lil'kāfirīna
- لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ
- for the disbelievers
- nuzulan
- نُزُلًا
- (as) a lodging
Then do those who disbelieve think that they can take My servants instead of Me as allies? Indeed, We have prepared Hell for the disbelievers as a lodging. (QS. [18] Al-Kahf: 102)Tafsir
قُلْ هَلْ نُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِالْاَخْسَرِيْنَ اَعْمَالًا ۗ ١٠٣

- Say
- hal
- هَلْ
- "Shall
- nunabbi-ukum
- نُنَبِّئُكُم
- We inform you
- bil-akhsarīna
- بِٱلْأَخْسَرِينَ
- of the greatest losers
- aʿmālan
- أَعْمَٰلًا
- (as to their) deeds?
Say, [O Muhammad], "Shall we [believers] inform you of the greatest losers as to [their] deeds? (QS. [18] Al-Kahf: 103)Tafsir
اَلَّذِيْنَ ضَلَّ سَعْيُهُمْ فِى الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ يَحْسَبُوْنَ اَنَّهُمْ يُحْسِنُوْنَ صُنْعًا ١٠٤
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- Those -
- ḍalla
- ضَلَّ
- is lost
- saʿyuhum
- سَعْيُهُمْ
- their effort
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-ḥayati
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
- the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- (of) the world
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- while they
- yaḥsabūna
- يَحْسَبُونَ
- think
- annahum
- أَنَّهُمْ
- that they
- yuḥ'sinūna
- يُحْسِنُونَ
- (were) acquiring good
- ṣun'ʿan
- صُنْعًا
- (in) work"
[They are] those whose effort is lost in worldly life, while they think that they are doing well in work." (QS. [18] Al-Kahf: 104)Tafsir
اُولٰۤىِٕكَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِاٰيٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَلِقَاۤىِٕهٖ فَحَبِطَتْ اَعْمَالُهُمْ فَلَا نُقِيْمُ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ وَزْنًا ١٠٥
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- Those
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (are) the ones who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieve
- biāyāti
- بِـَٔايَٰتِ
- in the Verses
- rabbihim
- رَبِّهِمْ
- (of) their Lord
- waliqāihi
- وَلِقَآئِهِۦ
- and the meeting (with) Him
- faḥabiṭat
- فَحَبِطَتْ
- So (are) vain
- aʿmāluhum
- أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ
- their deeds
- falā
- فَلَا
- so not
- nuqīmu
- نُقِيمُ
- We will assign
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- yawma
- يَوْمَ
- (on) the Day
- l-qiyāmati
- ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
- (of) the Resurrection
- waznan
- وَزْنًا
- any weight
Those are the ones who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord and in [their] meeting Him, so their deeds have become worthless; and We will not assign to them on the Day of Resurrection any weight [i.e., importance]. (QS. [18] Al-Kahf: 105)Tafsir
ذٰلِكَ جَزَاۤؤُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ بِمَا كَفَرُوْا وَاتَّخَذُوْٓا اٰيٰتِيْ وَرُسُلِيْ هُزُوًا ١٠٦
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- jazāuhum
- جَزَآؤُهُمْ
- (is) their recompense -
- jahannamu
- جَهَنَّمُ
- Hell -
- bimā
- بِمَا
- because
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- they disbelieved
- wa-ittakhadhū
- وَٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟
- and took
- āyātī
- ءَايَٰتِى
- My Verses
- warusulī
- وَرُسُلِى
- and My Messengers
- huzuwan
- هُزُوًا
- (in) ridicule
That is their recompense – Hell – for what they denied and [because] they took My signs and My messengers in ridicule. (QS. [18] Al-Kahf: 106)Tafsir
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَنّٰتُ الْفِرْدَوْسِ نُزُلًا ۙ ١٠٧
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believed
- waʿamilū
- وَعَمِلُوا۟
- and did
- l-ṣāliḥāti
- ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
- righteous deeds
- kānat
- كَانَتْ
- for them will be
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them will be
- jannātu
- جَنَّٰتُ
- Gardens
- l-fir'dawsi
- ٱلْفِرْدَوْسِ
- (of) the Paradise
- nuzulan
- نُزُلًا
- (as) a lodging
Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds – they will have the Gardens of Paradise as a lodging, (QS. [18] Al-Kahf: 107)Tafsir
خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَا لَا يَبْغُوْنَ عَنْهَا حِوَلًا ١٠٨
- khālidīna
- خَٰلِدِينَ
- Abiding forever
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- in it
- lā
- لَا
- Not
- yabghūna
- يَبْغُونَ
- they will desire
- ʿanhā
- عَنْهَا
- from it
- ḥiwalan
- حِوَلًا
- any transfer
Wherein they abide eternally. They will not desire from it any transfer. (QS. [18] Al-Kahf: 108)Tafsir
قُلْ لَّوْ كَانَ الْبَحْرُ مِدَادًا لِّكَلِمٰتِ رَبِّيْ لَنَفِدَ الْبَحْرُ قَبْلَ اَنْ تَنْفَدَ كَلِمٰتُ رَبِّيْ وَلَوْ جِئْنَا بِمِثْلِهٖ مَدَدًا ١٠٩

- لَّوْ
- "If
- kāna
- كَانَ
- were
- l-baḥru
- ٱلْبَحْرُ
- the sea
- midādan
- مِدَادًا
- ink
- likalimāti
- لِّكَلِمَٰتِ
- for (the) Words
- rabbī
- رَبِّى
- (of) my Lord
- lanafida
- لَنَفِدَ
- surely (would be) exhausted
- l-baḥru
- ٱلْبَحْرُ
- the sea
- qabla
- قَبْلَ
- before
- an
- أَن
- [that]
- tanfada
- تَنفَدَ
- (were) exhausted
- kalimātu
- كَلِمَٰتُ
- (the) Words
- rabbī
- رَبِّى
- (of) my Lord
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- even if
- ji'nā
- جِئْنَا
- We brought
- bimith'lihi
- بِمِثْلِهِۦ
- (the) like (of) it
- madadan
- مَدَدًا
- (as) a supplement"
Say, "If the sea were ink for [writing] the words of my Lord, the sea would be exhausted before the words of my Lord were exhausted, even if We brought the like of it in [continual] supplement." (QS. [18] Al-Kahf: 109)Tafsir
قُلْ اِنَّمَآ اَنَا۠ بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُوْحٰٓى اِلَيَّ اَنَّمَآ اِلٰهُكُمْ اِلٰهٌ وَّاحِدٌۚ فَمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُوْا لِقَاۤءَ رَبِّهٖ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا وَّلَا يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهٖٓ اَحَدًا ࣖ ١١٠

- Say
- innamā
- إِنَّمَآ
- "Only
- anā
- أَنَا۠
- I
- basharun
- بَشَرٌ
- (am) a man
- mith'lukum
- مِّثْلُكُمْ
- like you
- yūḥā
- يُوحَىٰٓ
- Has been revealed
- ilayya
- إِلَىَّ
- to me
- annamā
- أَنَّمَآ
- that
- ilāhukum
- إِلَٰهُكُمْ
- your God
- ilāhun
- إِلَٰهٌ
- (is) God
- wāḥidun
- وَٰحِدٌۖ
- One
- faman
- فَمَن
- So whoever
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- yarjū
- يَرْجُوا۟
- hoping
- liqāa
- لِقَآءَ
- (for the) meeting
- rabbihi
- رَبِّهِۦ
- (with) his Lord
- falyaʿmal
- فَلْيَعْمَلْ
- let him do
- ʿamalan
- عَمَلًا
- deeds
- ṣāliḥan
- صَٰلِحًا
- righteous
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yush'rik
- يُشْرِكْ
- associate
- biʿibādati
- بِعِبَادَةِ
- in (the) worship
- rabbihi
- رَبِّهِۦٓ
- (of) his Lord
- aḥadan
- أَحَدًۢا
- anyone"
Say, "I am only a man like you, to whom has been revealed that your god is one God. So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord – let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his Lord anyone." (QS. [18] Al-Kahf: 110)Tafsir
