Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Isra Verse 88

Say, “If all the humans and jinns join together to produce anything like this Qur’ān, they will not (be able to) come up with anything like it, even if they assist one another.

Say: "If (E) the human/mankind and the Jinns gathered/unified on that (E) they come with similar/equal/alike (to) this the Koran, they do not come with similar/equal/alike to it, and even if some of them were to some, (were to each other) supporting/helping."

Tafsir jalalayn

Say; `Verily, should mankind and jinn come together to produce the like of this Qur'n, [the like thereof] in terms of clarity and rhetorical excellence, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they backed one another', [even if one was] an assistant [of the other]. This [verse] was revealed as a refutation of their statement; `If we wish we can speak the like of this' [Q. 8;31].

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِي هَـذَا الْقُرْانِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ فَأَبَى أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ إِلاَّ كُفُورًا
