وَقُلْ جَاۤءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ ۖاِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوْقًا ٨١
- waqul
- وَقُلْ
- And say
- jāa
- جَآءَ
- "Has come
- l-ḥaqu
- ٱلْحَقُّ
- the truth
- wazahaqa
- وَزَهَقَ
- and perished
- l-bāṭilu
- ٱلْبَٰطِلُۚ
- the falsehood
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-bāṭila
- ٱلْبَٰطِلَ
- the falsehood
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- zahūqan
- زَهُوقًا
- (bound) to perish"
And say, "Truth has come, and falsehood has departed. Indeed is falsehood, [by nature], ever bound to depart." (QS. [17] Al-Isra: 81)Tafsir
وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْاٰنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاۤءٌ وَّرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَۙ وَلَا يَزِيْدُ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ اِلَّا خَسَارًا ٨٢
- wanunazzilu
- وَنُنَزِّلُ
- And We reveal
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-qur'āni
- ٱلْقُرْءَانِ
- the Quran
- mā
- مَا
- that
- huwa
- هُوَ
- it
- shifāon
- شِفَآءٌ
- (is) a healing
- waraḥmatun
- وَرَحْمَةٌ
- and a mercy
- lil'mu'minīna
- لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَۙ
- for the believers
- walā
- وَلَا
- but not
- yazīdu
- يَزِيدُ
- it increases
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- khasāran
- خَسَارًا
- (in) loss
And We send down of the Quran that which is healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss. (QS. [17] Al-Isra: 82)Tafsir
وَاِذَآ اَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى الْاِنْسَانِ اَعْرَضَ وَنَاٰ بِجَانِبِهٖۚ وَاِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ كَانَ يَـُٔوْسًا ٨٣
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَآ
- And when
- anʿamnā
- أَنْعَمْنَا
- We bestow favor
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- on
- l-insāni
- ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ
- man
- aʿraḍa
- أَعْرَضَ
- he turns away
- wanaā
- وَنَـَٔا
- and becomes remote
- bijānibihi
- بِجَانِبِهِۦۖ
- on his side
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- massahu
- مَسَّهُ
- touches him
- l-sharu
- ٱلشَّرُّ
- the evil
- kāna
- كَانَ
- he is
- yaūsan
- يَـُٔوسًا
- (in) despair
And when We bestow favor upon man [i.e., the disbeliever], he turns away and distances himself; and when evil touches him, he is ever despairing. (QS. [17] Al-Isra: 83)Tafsir
قُلْ كُلٌّ يَّعْمَلُ عَلٰى شَاكِلَتِهٖۗ فَرَبُّكُمْ اَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ هُوَ اَهْدٰى سَبِيْلًا ࣖ ٨٤
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- kullun
- كُلٌّ
- "Each
- yaʿmalu
- يَعْمَلُ
- works
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- shākilatihi
- شَاكِلَتِهِۦ
- his manner
- farabbukum
- فَرَبُّكُمْ
- but your Lord
- aʿlamu
- أَعْلَمُ
- (is) most knowing
- biman
- بِمَنْ
- of who
- huwa
- هُوَ
- [he]
- ahdā
- أَهْدَىٰ
- (is) best guided
- sabīlan
- سَبِيلًا
- (in) way"
Say, "Each works according to his manner, but your Lord is most knowing of who is best guided in way." (QS. [17] Al-Isra: 84)Tafsir
وَيَسْـَٔلُوْنَكَ عَنِ الرُّوْحِۗ قُلِ الرُّوْحُ مِنْ اَمْرِ رَبِّيْ وَمَآ اُوْتِيْتُمْ مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا ٨٥
- wayasalūnaka
- وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ
- And they ask you
- ʿani
- عَنِ
- concerning
- l-rūḥi
- ٱلرُّوحِۖ
- the soul
- quli
- قُلِ
- Say
- l-rūḥu
- ٱلرُّوحُ
- "The soul
- min
- مِنْ
- (is) of
- amri
- أَمْرِ
- (the) affair
- rabbī
- رَبِّى
- (of) my Lord
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- And not
- ūtītum
- أُوتِيتُم
- you have been given
- mina
- مِّنَ
- of
- l-ʿil'mi
- ٱلْعِلْمِ
- the knowledge
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- qalīlan
- قَلِيلًا
- a little"
And they ask you, [O Muhammad], about the soul. Say, "The soul is of the affair [i.e., concern] of my Lord. And you [i.e., mankind] have not been given of knowledge except a little." (QS. [17] Al-Isra: 85)Tafsir
وَلَىِٕنْ شِئْنَا لَنَذْهَبَنَّ بِالَّذِيْٓ اَوْحَيْنَآ اِلَيْكَ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُ لَكَ بِهٖ عَلَيْنَا وَكِيْلًاۙ؉؉ ٨٦
- wala-in
- وَلَئِن
- And if
- shi'nā
- شِئْنَا
- We willed
- lanadhhabanna
- لَنَذْهَبَنَّ
- We (would) have surely taken away
- bi-alladhī
- بِٱلَّذِىٓ
- that which
- awḥaynā
- أَوْحَيْنَآ
- We have revealed
- ilayka
- إِلَيْكَ
- to you
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- lā
- لَا
- not
- tajidu
- تَجِدُ
- you would find
- laka
- لَكَ
- for you
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- concerning it
- ʿalaynā
- عَلَيْنَا
- against Us
- wakīlan
- وَكِيلًا
- any advocate
And if We willed, We could surely do away with that which We revealed to you. Then you would not find for yourself concerning it an advocate against Us. (QS. [17] Al-Isra: 86)Tafsir
اِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِّنْ رَّبِّكَۗ اِنَّ فَضْلَهٗ كَانَ عَلَيْكَ كَبِيْرًا ٨٧
- illā
- إِلَّا
- Except
- raḥmatan
- رَحْمَةً
- a mercy
- min
- مِّن
- from
- rabbika
- رَّبِّكَۚ
- your Lord
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- faḍlahu
- فَضْلَهُۥ
- His Bounty
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- ʿalayka
- عَلَيْكَ
- upon you
- kabīran
- كَبِيرًا
- great
Except [We have left it with you] as a mercy from your Lord. Indeed, His favor upon you has ever been great. (QS. [17] Al-Isra: 87)Tafsir
قُلْ لَّىِٕنِ اجْتَمَعَتِ الْاِنْسُ وَالْجِنُّ عَلٰٓى اَنْ يَّأْتُوْا بِمِثْلِ هٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنِ لَا يَأْتُوْنَ بِمِثْلِهٖ وَلَوْ كَانَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ ظَهِيْرًا ٨٨

- قُل
- Say
- la-ini
- لَّئِنِ
- "If
- ij'tamaʿati
- ٱجْتَمَعَتِ
- gathered
- l-insu
- ٱلْإِنسُ
- the mankind
- wal-jinu
- وَٱلْجِنُّ
- and the jinn
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰٓ
- to
- an
- أَن
- [that]
- yatū
- يَأْتُوا۟
- bring
- bimith'li
- بِمِثْلِ
- the like
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- (of) this
- l-qur'āni
- ٱلْقُرْءَانِ
- Quran
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yatūna
- يَأْتُونَ
- they (could) bring
- bimith'lihi
- بِمِثْلِهِۦ
- the like of it
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- even if
- kāna
- كَانَ
- were
- baʿḍuhum
- بَعْضُهُمْ
- some of them
- libaʿḍin
- لِبَعْضٍ
- to some others
- ẓahīran
- ظَهِيرًا
- assistants"
Say, "If mankind and the jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants." (QS. [17] Al-Isra: 88)Tafsir
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِيْ هٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنِ مِنْ كُلِّ مَثَلٍۖ فَاَبٰىٓ اَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ اِلَّا كُفُوْرًا ٨٩
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And verily
- ṣarrafnā
- صَرَّفْنَا
- We have explained
- lilnnāsi
- لِلنَّاسِ
- to mankind
- fī
- فِى
- in
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- this
- l-qur'āni
- ٱلْقُرْءَانِ
- Quran
- min
- مِن
- from
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- mathalin
- مَثَلٍ
- example
- fa-abā
- فَأَبَىٰٓ
- but refused
- aktharu
- أَكْثَرُ
- most
- l-nāsi
- ٱلنَّاسِ
- (of) the mankind
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- kufūran
- كُفُورًا
- disbelief
And We have certainly diversified for the people in this Quran from every [kind of] example, but most of the people refused except disbelief. (QS. [17] Al-Isra: 89)Tafsir
وَقَالُوْا لَنْ نُّؤْمِنَ لَكَ حَتّٰى تَفْجُرَ لَنَا مِنَ الْاَرْضِ يَنْۢبُوْعًاۙ ٩٠
- waqālū
- وَقَالُوا۟
- And they say
- lan
- لَن
- "Never
- nu'mina
- نُّؤْمِنَ
- we will believe
- laka
- لَكَ
- in you
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰ
- until
- tafjura
- تَفْجُرَ
- you cause to gush forth
- lanā
- لَنَا
- for us
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- yanbūʿan
- يَنۢبُوعًا
- a spring
And they say, "We will not believe you until you break open for us from the ground a spring (QS. [17] Al-Isra: 90)Tafsir
