Al-Qur'an Surah An-Nahl Verse 77

To Allah belongs the Unseen of the heavens and the earth; and the matter of Hour (of Judgment) is no more than of twinkling of the eye, or even quicker. Of course, Allah is powerful over everything.

English Literal

And to God (is) the skies`/space`s and the earth`s/Planet Earth`s unseen/invisible ; and the Hour`s/Resurrection`s order/command/matter/affair is not except as the eye sights`/knowledges` twinkling/quick glance or it is nearer/closer, that God (is) on every thing capable/able .

Tafsir jalalayn

And to God belongs the Unseen of the heavens and the earth, in other words, the knowledge of what is hidden in them. And the matter of the Hour is but as the twinkling of an eye, or it is [even] nearer, since it takes place as a result of the words, `Be' and it is (kun fa-yakn). Truly God has power over all things.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

The Unseen belongs to Allah and only He has Knowledge of the Hour

Allah says;

وَلِلّهِ غَيْبُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالَارْضِ



And to Allah belongs the Unseen of the heavens and the earth.

Allah tells us of the perfection of His knowledge and ability to do all things, by telling us that He alone knows the Unseen of the heavens and the earth. No one knows anything about such things except for what Allah informs about as He wills.

His complete power, which no one can oppose or resist, means that when He wants a thing, He only has to say to it "Be!" and it is, as Allah says;

وَمَأ أَمْرُنَأ إِلاَّ وَحِدَةٌ كَلَمْحٍ بِالْبَصَرِ

And Our commandment is but one as the twinkling of an eye. (54;50)

meaning, whatever He wills happens in blinking.

Thus Allah says here;

وَمَا أَمْرُ السَّاعَةِ إِلاَّ كَلَمْحِ الْبَصَرِ أَوْ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ



And the matter of the Hour is not but as a twinkling of the eye, or even nearer. Truly, Allah is Able to do all things.

Elsewhere, Allah says;

مَّا خَلْقُكُمْ وَلَا بَعْثُكُمْ إِلاَّ كَنَفْسٍ وَحِدَةٍ

The processes of creating you all and resurrecting you all are but like that of (the creation and resurrection of) a single person. (31;28)
Among the Favors Allah has granted People are Hearing, Sight and the Heart

Allah says;

وَاللّهُ أَخْرَجَكُم مِّن بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ شَيْيًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْسَّمْعَ وَالَابْصَارَ وَالَافْيِدَةَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
