Al-Qur'an Surah An-Nahl Verse 113
An-Nahl [16]: 113 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَلَقَدْ جَاۤءَهُمْ رَسُوْلٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَكَذَّبُوْهُ فَاَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَهُمْ ظٰلِمُوْنَ (النحل : ١٦)
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And certainly
- jāahum
- جَآءَهُمْ
- came to them
- rasūlun
- رَسُولٌ
- a Messenger
- min'hum
- مِّنْهُمْ
- from among them
- fakadhabūhu
- فَكَذَّبُوهُ
- but they denied him;
- fa-akhadhahumu
- فَأَخَذَهُمُ
- so seized them
- l-ʿadhābu
- ٱلْعَذَابُ
- the punishment
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- while they
- ẓālimūna
- ظَٰلِمُونَ
- (were) wrongdoers
Transliteration:
Wa laqad jaaa'ahum Rasoolum minhum fakazzaboohu fa akhazahumul 'azaabu wa hum zaalimoon(QS. an-Naḥl:113)
English / Sahih Translation:
And there had certainly come to them a Messenger from among themselves, but they denied him; so punishment overtook them while they were wrongdoers. (QS. An-Nahl, ayah 113)
