وَاِذَا بَدَّلْنَآ اٰيَةً مَّكَانَ اٰيَةٍ ۙوَّاللّٰهُ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُنَزِّلُ قَالُوْٓا اِنَّمَآ اَنْتَ مُفْتَرٍۗ بَلْ اَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ١٠١
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- baddalnā
- بَدَّلْنَآ
- We substitute
- āyatan
- ءَايَةً
- a Verse
- makāna
- مَّكَانَ
- (in) place
- āyatin
- ءَايَةٍۙ
- (of) a Verse
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- and Allah -
- aʿlamu
- أَعْلَمُ
- (is) most knowing
- bimā
- بِمَا
- of what
- yunazzilu
- يُنَزِّلُ
- He sends down
- qālū
- قَالُوٓا۟
- they say
- innamā
- إِنَّمَآ
- "Only
- anta
- أَنتَ
- you
- muf'tarin
- مُفْتَرٍۭۚ
- (are) an inventor"
- bal
- بَلْ
- Nay
- aktharuhum
- أَكْثَرُهُمْ
- most of them
- lā
- لَا
- (do) not
- yaʿlamūna
- يَعْلَمُونَ
- know
And when We substitute a verse in place of a verse – and Allah is most knowing of what He sends down – they say, "You, [O Muhammad], are but an inventor [of lies]." But most of them do not know. (QS. [16] An-Nahl: 101)Tafsir
قُلْ نَزَّلَهٗ رُوْحُ الْقُدُسِ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ بِالْحَقِّ لِيُثَبِّتَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَهُدًى وَّبُشْرٰى لِلْمُسْلِمِيْنَ ١٠٢
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- nazzalahu
- نَزَّلَهُۥ
- "Has brought it down
- rūḥu
- رُوحُ
- the Holy Spirit
- l-qudusi
- ٱلْقُدُسِ
- the Holy Spirit
- min
- مِن
- from
- rabbika
- رَّبِّكَ
- your Lord
- bil-ḥaqi
- بِٱلْحَقِّ
- in truth
- liyuthabbita
- لِيُثَبِّتَ
- to make firm
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe
- wahudan
- وَهُدًى
- and (as) a guidance
- wabush'rā
- وَبُشْرَىٰ
- and glad tidings
- lil'mus'limīna
- لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ
- to the Muslims"
Say, [O Muhammad], "The Pure Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] has brought it down from your Lord in truth to make firm those who believe and as guidance and good tidings to the Muslims." (QS. [16] An-Nahl: 102)Tafsir
وَلَقَدْ نَعْلَمُ اَنَّهُمْ يَقُوْلُوْنَ اِنَّمَا يُعَلِّمُهٗ بَشَرٌۗ لِسَانُ الَّذِيْ يُلْحِدُوْنَ اِلَيْهِ اَعْجَمِيٌّ وَّهٰذَا لِسَانٌ عَرَبِيٌّ مُّبِيْنٌ ١٠٣
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And certainly
- naʿlamu
- نَعْلَمُ
- We know
- annahum
- أَنَّهُمْ
- that they
- yaqūlūna
- يَقُولُونَ
- say
- innamā
- إِنَّمَا
- "Only
- yuʿallimuhu
- يُعَلِّمُهُۥ
- teaches him
- basharun
- بَشَرٌۗ
- a human being"
- lisānu
- لِّسَانُ
- (The) tongue
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- (of) the one
- yul'ḥidūna
- يُلْحِدُونَ
- they refer
- ilayhi
- إِلَيْهِ
- to him
- aʿjamiyyun
- أَعْجَمِىٌّ
- (is) foreign
- wahādhā
- وَهَٰذَا
- while this
- lisānun
- لِسَانٌ
- (is) a language
- ʿarabiyyun
- عَرَبِىٌّ
- Arabic
- mubīnun
- مُّبِينٌ
- clear
And We certainly know that they say, "It is only a human being who teaches him [i.e., the Prophet (^)]." The tongue of the one they refer to is foreign, and this [recitation, i.e., Quran] is [in] a clear Arabic language. (QS. [16] An-Nahl: 103)Tafsir
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِۙ لَا يَهْدِيْهِمُ اللّٰهُ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِيْمٌ ١٠٤
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- lā
- لَا
- (do) not
- yu'minūna
- يُؤْمِنُونَ
- believe
- biāyāti
- بِـَٔايَٰتِ
- in the Verses
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yahdīhimu
- يَهْدِيهِمُ
- Allah will guide them
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah will guide them
- walahum
- وَلَهُمْ
- and for them
- ʿadhābun
- عَذَابٌ
- (is) a punishment
- alīmun
- أَلِيمٌ
- painful
Indeed, those who do not believe in the verses of Allah – Allah will not guide them, and for them is a painful punishment. (QS. [16] An-Nahl: 104)Tafsir
اِنَّمَا يَفْتَرِى الْكَذِبَ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِۚ وَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْكٰذِبُوْنَ ١٠٥
- innamā
- إِنَّمَا
- Only
- yaftarī
- يَفْتَرِى
- they invent
- l-kadhiba
- ٱلْكَذِبَ
- the falsehood
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- lā
- لَا
- (do) not
- yu'minūna
- يُؤْمِنُونَ
- believe
- biāyāti
- بِـَٔايَٰتِ
- in the Verses
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۖ
- (of) Allah
- wa-ulāika
- وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- and those -
- humu
- هُمُ
- they
- l-kādhibūna
- ٱلْكَٰذِبُونَ
- (are) the liars
They only invent falsehood who do not believe in the verses of Allah, and it is those who are the liars. (QS. [16] An-Nahl: 105)Tafsir
مَنْ كَفَرَ بِاللّٰهِ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ اِيْمَانِهٖٓ اِلَّا مَنْ اُكْرِهَ وَقَلْبُهٗ مُطْمَىِٕنٌّۢ بِالْاِيْمَانِ وَلٰكِنْ مَّنْ شَرَحَ بِالْكُفْرِ صَدْرًا فَعَلَيْهِمْ غَضَبٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ ۗوَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيْمٌ ١٠٦
- man
- مَن
- Whoever
- kafara
- كَفَرَ
- disbelieves
- bil-lahi
- بِٱللَّهِ
- in Allah
- min
- مِنۢ
- after
- baʿdi
- بَعْدِ
- after
- īmānihi
- إِيمَٰنِهِۦٓ
- his belief
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- man
- مَنْ
- (one) who
- uk'riha
- أُكْرِهَ
- is forced
- waqalbuhu
- وَقَلْبُهُۥ
- while his heart
- muṭ'ma-innun
- مُطْمَئِنٌّۢ
- (is) content
- bil-īmāni
- بِٱلْإِيمَٰنِ
- with the faith
- walākin
- وَلَٰكِن
- But
- man
- مَّن
- (one) who
- sharaḥa
- شَرَحَ
- opens
- bil-kuf'ri
- بِٱلْكُفْرِ
- to disbelief
- ṣadran
- صَدْرًا
- (his) breast
- faʿalayhim
- فَعَلَيْهِمْ
- then upon them
- ghaḍabun
- غَضَبٌ
- (is) a wrath
- mina
- مِّنَ
- of
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- walahum
- وَلَهُمْ
- and for them
- ʿadhābun
- عَذَابٌ
- (is) a punishment
- ʿaẓīmun
- عَظِيمٌ
- great
Whoever disbelieves in [i.e., denies] Allah after his belief... except for one who is forced [to renounce his religion] while his heart is secure in faith. But those who [willingly] open their breasts to disbelief, upon them is wrath from Allah, and for them is a great punishment; (QS. [16] An-Nahl: 106)Tafsir
ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمُ اسْتَحَبُّوا الْحَيٰوةَ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى الْاٰخِرَةِۙ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ ١٠٧
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That (is)
- bi-annahumu
- بِأَنَّهُمُ
- because
- is'taḥabbū
- ٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟
- they preferred
- l-ḥayata
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ
- the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- (of) the world
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- over
- l-ākhirati
- ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
- the Hereafter
- wa-anna
- وَأَنَّ
- and that
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yahdī
- يَهْدِى
- guide
- l-qawma
- ٱلْقَوْمَ
- the people
- l-kāfirīna
- ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
- the disbelievers
That is because they preferred the worldly life over the Hereafter and that Allah does not guide the disbelieving people. (QS. [16] An-Nahl: 107)Tafsir
اُولٰۤىِٕكَ الَّذِيْنَ طَبَعَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى قُلُوْبِهِمْ وَسَمْعِهِمْ وَاَبْصَارِهِمْۗ وَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْغٰفِلُوْنَ ١٠٨
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- Those
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (are) the ones
- ṭabaʿa
- طَبَعَ
- Allah has set a seal
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah has set a seal
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- over
- qulūbihim
- قُلُوبِهِمْ
- their hearts
- wasamʿihim
- وَسَمْعِهِمْ
- and their hearing
- wa-abṣārihim
- وَأَبْصَٰرِهِمْۖ
- and their sight
- wa-ulāika
- وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- And those
- humu
- هُمُ
- they are
- l-ghāfilūna
- ٱلْغَٰفِلُونَ
- the heedless
Those are the ones over whose hearts and hearing and vision Allah has sealed, and it is those who are the heedless. (QS. [16] An-Nahl: 108)Tafsir
لَا جَرَمَ اَنَّهُمْ فِى الْاٰخِرَةِ هُمُ الْخٰسِرُوْنَ ١٠٩
- lā
- لَا
- No
- jarama
- جَرَمَ
- doubt
- annahum
- أَنَّهُمْ
- that they
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-ākhirati
- ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
- the Hereafter
- humu
- هُمُ
- [they]
- l-khāsirūna
- ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ
- (are) the losers
Assuredly, it is they, in the Hereafter, who will be the losers. (QS. [16] An-Nahl: 109)Tafsir
ثُمَّ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لِلَّذِيْنَ هَاجَرُوْا مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مَا فُتِنُوْا ثُمَّ جَاهَدُوْا وَصَبَرُوْاۚ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهَا لَغَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ ࣖ ١١٠
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- inna
- إِنَّ
- indeed
- rabbaka
- رَبَّكَ
- your Lord
- lilladhīna
- لِلَّذِينَ
- to those who
- hājarū
- هَاجَرُوا۟
- emigrated
- min
- مِنۢ
- after
- baʿdi
- بَعْدِ
- after
- mā
- مَا
- what
- futinū
- فُتِنُوا۟
- they had been put to trials
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- jāhadū
- جَٰهَدُوا۟
- strove hard
- waṣabarū
- وَصَبَرُوٓا۟
- and were patient
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- rabbaka
- رَبَّكَ
- your Lord
- min
- مِنۢ
- after it
- baʿdihā
- بَعْدِهَا
- after it
- laghafūrun
- لَغَفُورٌ
- surely is Oft-Forgiving
- raḥīmun
- رَّحِيمٌ
- Most Merciful
Then, indeed your Lord, to those who emigrated after they had been compelled [to say words of disbelief] and thereafter fought [for the cause of Allah] and were patient – indeed, your Lord, after that, is Forgiving and Merciful (QS. [16] An-Nahl: 110)Tafsir
