Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Hijr Verse 66
Al-Hijr [15]: 66 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَقَضَيْنَآ اِلَيْهِ ذٰلِكَ الْاَمْرَ اَنَّ دَابِرَ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ مَقْطُوْعٌ مُّصْبِحِيْنَ (الحجر : ١٥)
- waqaḍaynā
- وَقَضَيْنَآ
- And We conveyed
- ilayhi
- إِلَيْهِ
- to him
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- [that]
- l-amra
- ٱلْأَمْرَ
- the matter
- anna
- أَنَّ
- that
- dābira
- دَابِرَ
- (the) root
- hāulāi
- هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
- (of) these
- maqṭūʿun
- مَقْطُوعٌ
- would be cut off
- muṣ'biḥīna
- مُّصْبِحِينَ
- (by) early morning
Transliteration:
Wa qadainaaa ilaihi zaalikal amra anna daabira haaa'ulaaa'i maqtoo'um musbiheen(QS. al-Ḥijr:66)
English / Sahih Translation:
And We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning. (QS. Al-Hijr, ayah 66)

We conveyed to him Our decision that they (the unbelievers) were to be totally uprooted when they would see the morning.

Tafsir jalalayn
And We conveyed, We revealed, to him the matter, which was, that these [sinners] was to be eradicated by morning (musbihn is a circumstantial qualifier,), in other words, their annihilation will take place in the morning.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
وَقَضَيْنَا إِلَيْهِ ذَلِكَ الَامْرَ
And We made this decree known to him,
meaning - We already told him about that.
أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَوُلاء مَقْطُوعٌ مُّصْبِحِينَ
that those (sinners) would be rooted out in the early morning.
meaning in the morning, as in another Ayah;
إِنَّ مَوْعِدَهُمُ الصُّبْحُ أَلَيْسَ الصُّبْحُ بِقَرِيبٍ
Indeed, morning is their appointed time. Is not the morning near! (11;81
