21

وَاِنْ مِّنْ شَيْءٍ اِلَّا عِنْدَنَا خَزَاۤىِٕنُهٗ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهٗٓ اِلَّا بِقَدَرٍ مَّعْلُوْمٍ ٢١

wa-in
وَإِن
And not
min
مِّن
(is) any
shayin
شَىْءٍ
thing
illā
إِلَّا
but
ʿindanā
عِندَنَا
with Us
khazāinuhu
خَزَآئِنُهُۥ
(are) its treasures
wamā
وَمَا
and not
nunazziluhu
نُنَزِّلُهُۥٓ
We send it down
illā
إِلَّا
except
biqadarin
بِقَدَرٍ
in a measure
maʿlūmin
مَّعْلُومٍ
known
And there is not a thing but that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known [i.e., specified] measure. (QS. [15] Al-Hijr: 21)
Tafsir
22

وَاَرْسَلْنَا الرِّيٰحَ لَوَاقِحَ فَاَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءً فَاَسْقَيْنٰكُمُوْهُۚ وَمَآ اَنْتُمْ لَهٗ بِخَازِنِيْنَ ٢٢

wa-arsalnā
وَأَرْسَلْنَا
And We have sent
l-riyāḥa
ٱلرِّيَٰحَ
the winds
lawāqiḥa
لَوَٰقِحَ
fertilizing
fa-anzalnā
فَأَنزَلْنَا
and We sent down
mina
مِنَ
from
l-samāi
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
the sky
māan
مَآءً
water
fa-asqaynākumūhu
فَأَسْقَيْنَٰكُمُوهُ
and We gave it to you to drink
wamā
وَمَآ
And not
antum
أَنتُمْ
you
lahu
لَهُۥ
of it
bikhāzinīna
بِخَٰزِنِينَ
(are) retainers
And We have sent the fertilizing winds and sent down water from the sky and given you drink from it. And you are not its retainers. (QS. [15] Al-Hijr: 22)
Tafsir
23

وَاِنَّا لَنَحْنُ نُحْيٖ وَنُمِيْتُ وَنَحْنُ الْوَارِثُوْنَ ٢٣

wa-innā
وَإِنَّا
And indeed We
lanaḥnu
لَنَحْنُ
surely [We]
nuḥ'yī
نُحْىِۦ
We give life
wanumītu
وَنُمِيتُ
and We cause death
wanaḥnu
وَنَحْنُ
and We
l-wārithūna
ٱلْوَٰرِثُونَ
(are) the Inheritors
And indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the Inheritor. (QS. [15] Al-Hijr: 23)
Tafsir
24

وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا الْمُسْتَقْدِمِيْنَ مِنْكُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا الْمُسْتَأْخِرِيْنَ ٢٤

walaqad
وَلَقَدْ
And verily
ʿalim'nā
عَلِمْنَا
We know
l-mus'taqdimīna
ٱلْمُسْتَقْدِمِينَ
the preceding ones
minkum
مِنكُمْ
among you
walaqad
وَلَقَدْ
and verily
ʿalim'nā
عَلِمْنَا
We know
l-mus'takhirīna
ٱلْمُسْتَـْٔخِرِينَ
the later ones
And We have already known the preceding [generations] among you, and We have already known the later [ones to come]. (QS. [15] Al-Hijr: 24)
Tafsir
25

وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَحْشُرُهُمْۗ اِنَّهٗ حَكِيْمٌ عَلِيْمٌ ࣖ ٢٥

wa-inna
وَإِنَّ
And indeed
rabbaka
رَبَّكَ
your Lord
huwa
هُوَ
He
yaḥshuruhum
يَحْشُرُهُمْۚ
will gather them
innahu
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed He
ḥakīmun
حَكِيمٌ
(is) All-Wise
ʿalīmun
عَلِيمٌ
All-Knowing
And indeed, your Lord will gather them; indeed, He is Wise and Knowing. (QS. [15] Al-Hijr: 25)
Tafsir
26

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَاٍ مَّسْنُوْنٍۚ ٢٦

walaqad
وَلَقَدْ
And verily
khalaqnā
خَلَقْنَا
We created
l-insāna
ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
humankind
min
مِن
(out) of
ṣalṣālin
صَلْصَٰلٍ
sounding clay
min
مِّنْ
from
ḥama-in
حَمَإٍ
black mud
masnūnin
مَّسْنُونٍ
altered
And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud. (QS. [15] Al-Hijr: 26)
Tafsir
27

وَالْجَاۤنَّ خَلَقْنٰهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ مِنْ نَّارِ السَّمُوْمِ ٢٧

wal-jāna
وَٱلْجَآنَّ
And the jinn
khalaqnāhu
خَلَقْنَٰهُ
We created it
min
مِن
before
qablu
قَبْلُ
before
min
مِن
from
nāri
نَّارِ
fire
l-samūmi
ٱلسَّمُومِ
scorching
And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. (QS. [15] Al-Hijr: 27)
Tafsir
28

وَاِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةِ اِنِّيْ خَالِقٌۢ بَشَرًا مِّنْ صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَاٍ مَّسْنُوْنٍۚ ٢٨

wa-idh
وَإِذْ
And when
qāla
قَالَ
your Lord said
rabbuka
رَبُّكَ
your Lord said
lil'malāikati
لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
to the Angels
innī
إِنِّى
"Indeed, I
khāliqun
خَٰلِقٌۢ
(will) create
basharan
بَشَرًا
a human being
min
مِّن
(out) of
ṣalṣālin
صَلْصَٰلٍ
clay
min
مِّنْ
from
ḥama-in
حَمَإٍ
black mud
masnūnin
مَّسْنُونٍ
altered
And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud. (QS. [15] Al-Hijr: 28)
Tafsir
29

فَاِذَا سَوَّيْتُهٗ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيْهِ مِنْ رُّوْحِيْ فَقَعُوْا لَهٗ سٰجِدِيْنَ ٢٩

fa-idhā
فَإِذَا
So when
sawwaytuhu
سَوَّيْتُهُۥ
I have fashioned him
wanafakhtu
وَنَفَخْتُ
and [I] breathed
fīhi
فِيهِ
into him
min
مِن
of
rūḥī
رُّوحِى
My spirit
faqaʿū
فَقَعُوا۟
then fall down
lahu
لَهُۥ
to him
sājidīna
سَٰجِدِينَ
prostrating"
And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." (QS. [15] Al-Hijr: 29)
Tafsir
30

فَسَجَدَ الْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ اَجْمَعُوْنَۙ ٣٠

fasajada
فَسَجَدَ
So prostrated
l-malāikatu
ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
the Angels
kulluhum
كُلُّهُمْ
all of them
ajmaʿūna
أَجْمَعُونَ
together
So the angels prostrated – all of them entirely, (QS. [15] Al-Hijr: 30)
