Al-Qur'an Surah Ibrahim Verse 41
Ibrahim [14]: 41 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِيْ وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ يَوْمَ يَقُوْمُ الْحِسَابُ ࣖ (ابراهيم : ١٤)

- وَلِوَٰلِدَىَّ
- and my parents
- walil'mu'minīna

- will (be) established
- l-ḥisābu
- ٱلْحِسَابُ
- the account"
Transliteration:
Rabbanagh fir lee wa liwaalidaiya wa lilmu'mineena Yawma yaqoomul hisaab(QS. ʾIbrāhīm:41)
English / Sahih Translation:
Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established." (QS. Ibrahim, ayah 41)

Our Lord, forgive me and my parents -- this was before their enmity towards God, Mighty and Majestic, became clear; but it is also said that his mother submitted [to God], (the alternative reading [here] being the singular wlid [`my father']; or [yet another variant reading being] walad, `my son') and [forgive] believers on the day when the reckoning shall come to pass', [the day] it shall be effected. God, exalted be He, says;
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ
Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents,
Ibrahim said this before he declared himself innocent from his father, after he became sure that he was an enemy of Allah,
وَلِلْمُوْمِنِينَ
and the believers,
all of them,
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ
on the Day when the reckoning will be established.
on the Day when You will reckon Your servants and recompense or reward them for their deeds - good for good and evil for evil
