قُلْ لِّعِبَادِيَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا يُقِيْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَيُنْفِقُوْا مِمَّا رَزَقْنٰهُمْ سِرًّا وَّعَلَانِيَةً مِّنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ يَّأْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لَّا بَيْعٌ فِيْهِ وَلَا خِلٰلٌ ٣١
- qul
- قُل
- Say
- liʿibādiya
- لِّعِبَادِىَ
- to My slaves
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe
- yuqīmū
- يُقِيمُوا۟
- (to) establish
- l-ṣalata
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
- the prayers
- wayunfiqū
- وَيُنفِقُوا۟
- and (to) spend
- mimmā
- مِمَّا
- from what
- razaqnāhum
- رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ
- We have provided them
- sirran
- سِرًّا
- secretly
- waʿalāniyatan
- وَعَلَانِيَةً
- and publicly
- min
- مِّن
- before
- qabli
- قَبْلِ
- before
- an
- أَن
- [that]
- yatiya
- يَأْتِىَ
- comes
- yawmun
- يَوْمٌ
- a Day
- lā
- لَّا
- not
- bayʿun
- بَيْعٌ
- any trade
- fīhi
- فِيهِ
- in it
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- khilālun
- خِلَٰلٌ
- any friendship
[O Muhammad], tell My servants who have believed to establish prayer and spend from what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, before a Day comes in which there will be no exchange [i.e., ransom], nor any friendships. (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 31)Tafsir
اَللّٰهُ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ وَاَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءً فَاَخْرَجَ بِهٖ مِنَ الثَّمَرٰتِ رِزْقًا لَّكُمْ ۚوَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الْفُلْكَ لِتَجْرِيَ فِى الْبَحْرِ بِاَمْرِهٖ ۚوَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الْاَنْهٰرَ ٣٢
- al-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- (is) the One Who
- khalaqa
- خَلَقَ
- created
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- wal-arḍa
- وَٱلْأَرْضَ
- and the earth
- wa-anzala
- وَأَنزَلَ
- and sent down
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-samāi
- ٱلسَّمَآءِ
- the sky
- māan
- مَآءً
- water
- fa-akhraja
- فَأَخْرَجَ
- then brought forth
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- from it
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-thamarāti
- ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ
- the fruits
- riz'qan
- رِزْقًا
- (as) a provision
- lakum
- لَّكُمْۖ
- for you
- wasakhara
- وَسَخَّرَ
- and subjected
- lakumu
- لَكُمُ
- for you
- l-ful'ka
- ٱلْفُلْكَ
- the ships
- litajriya
- لِتَجْرِىَ
- so that they may sail
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-baḥri
- ٱلْبَحْرِ
- the sea
- bi-amrihi
- بِأَمْرِهِۦۖ
- by His command
- wasakhara
- وَسَخَّرَ
- and subjected
- lakumu
- لَكُمُ
- for you
- l-anhāra
- ٱلْأَنْهَٰرَ
- the rivers
It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and sent down rain from the sky and produced thereby some fruits as provision for you and subjected for you the ships to sail through the sea by His command and subjected for you the rivers. (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 32)Tafsir
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ دَاۤىِٕبَيْنِۚ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ ۚ ٣٣
- wasakhara
- وَسَخَّرَ
- And He subjected
- lakumu
- لَكُمُ
- for you
- l-shamsa
- ٱلشَّمْسَ
- the sun
- wal-qamara
- وَٱلْقَمَرَ
- and the moon
- dāibayni
- دَآئِبَيْنِۖ
- both constantly pursuing their courses
- wasakhara
- وَسَخَّرَ
- and subjected
- lakumu
- لَكُمُ
- for you
- al-layla
- ٱلَّيْلَ
- the night
- wal-nahāra
- وَٱلنَّهَارَ
- and the day
And He subjected for you the sun and the moon, continuous [in orbit], and subjected for you the night and the day. (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 33)Tafsir
وَاٰتٰىكُمْ مِّنْ كُلِّ مَا سَاَلْتُمُوْهُۗ وَاِنْ تَعُدُّوْا نِعْمَتَ اللّٰهِ لَا تُحْصُوْهَاۗ اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ لَظَلُوْمٌ كَفَّارٌ ࣖ ٣٤
- waātākum
- وَءَاتَىٰكُم
- And He gave you
- min
- مِّن
- of
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- all
- mā
- مَا
- what
- sa-altumūhu
- سَأَلْتُمُوهُۚ
- you asked of Him
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- And if
- taʿuddū
- تَعُدُّوا۟
- you count
- niʿ'mata
- نِعْمَتَ
- (the) Favor of Allah
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (the) Favor of Allah
- lā
- لَا
- not
- tuḥ'ṣūhā
- تُحْصُوهَآۗ
- you will (be able to) count them
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-insāna
- ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
- the mankind
- laẓalūmun
- لَظَلُومٌ
- (is) surely unjust
- kaffārun
- كَفَّارٌ
- (and) ungrateful
And He gave you from all you asked of Him. And if you should count the favor [i.e., blessings] of Allah, you could not enumerate them. Indeed, mankind is [generally] most unjust and ungrateful. (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 34)Tafsir
وَاِذْ قَالَ اِبْرٰهِيْمُ رَبِّ اجْعَلْ هٰذَا الْبَلَدَ اٰمِنًا وَّاجْنُبْنِيْ وَبَنِيَّ اَنْ نَّعْبُدَ الْاَصْنَامَ ۗ ٣٥
- wa-idh
- وَإِذْ
- And when
- qāla
- قَالَ
- said
- ib'rāhīmu
- إِبْرَٰهِيمُ
- Ibrahim
- rabbi
- رَبِّ
- "My Lord!
- ij'ʿal
- ٱجْعَلْ
- Make
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- this
- l-balada
- ٱلْبَلَدَ
- city
- āminan
- ءَامِنًا
- safe
- wa-uj'nub'nī
- وَٱجْنُبْنِى
- and keep me away
- wabaniyya
- وَبَنِىَّ
- and my sons
- an
- أَن
- that
- naʿbuda
- نَّعْبُدَ
- we worship
- l-aṣnāma
- ٱلْأَصْنَامَ
- the idols
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham said, "My Lord, make this city [i.e., Makkah] secure and keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols. (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 35)Tafsir
رَبِّ اِنَّهُنَّ اَضْلَلْنَ كَثِيْرًا مِّنَ النَّاسِۚ فَمَنْ تَبِعَنِيْ فَاِنَّهٗ مِنِّيْۚ وَمَنْ عَصَانِيْ فَاِنَّكَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ ٣٦
- rabbi
- رَبِّ
- My Lord!
- innahunna
- إِنَّهُنَّ
- Indeed they
- aḍlalna
- أَضْلَلْنَ
- have led astray
- kathīran
- كَثِيرًا
- many
- mina
- مِّنَ
- among
- l-nāsi
- ٱلنَّاسِۖ
- the mankind
- faman
- فَمَن
- So whoever
- tabiʿanī
- تَبِعَنِى
- follows me
- fa-innahu
- فَإِنَّهُۥ
- then indeed he
- minnī
- مِنِّىۖ
- (is) of me
- waman
- وَمَنْ
- and whoever
- ʿaṣānī
- عَصَانِى
- disobeys me
- fa-innaka
- فَإِنَّكَ
- then indeed You
- ghafūrun
- غَفُورٌ
- (are) Oft-Forgiving
- raḥīmun
- رَّحِيمٌ
- Most Merciful
My Lord, indeed they have led astray many among the people. So whoever follows me – then he is of me; and whoever disobeys me – indeed, You are [yet] Forgiving and Merciful. (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 36)Tafsir
رَبَّنَآ اِنِّيْٓ اَسْكَنْتُ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِيْ بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِيْ زَرْعٍ عِنْدَ بَيْتِكَ الْمُحَرَّمِۙ رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ فَاجْعَلْ اَفْـِٕدَةً مِّنَ النَّاسِ تَهْوِيْٓ اِلَيْهِمْ وَارْزُقْهُمْ مِّنَ الثَّمَرٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْكُرُوْنَ ٣٧
- rabbanā
- رَّبَّنَآ
- Our Lord!
- innī
- إِنِّىٓ
- Indeed, I
- askantu
- أَسْكَنتُ
- [I] have settled
- min
- مِن
- (some) of
- dhurriyyatī
- ذُرِّيَّتِى
- my offsprings
- biwādin
- بِوَادٍ
- in a valley
- ghayri
- غَيْرِ
- not
- dhī
- ذِى
- with
- zarʿin
- زَرْعٍ
- cultivation
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- near
- baytika
- بَيْتِكَ
- Your Sacred House
- l-muḥarami
- ٱلْمُحَرَّمِ
- Your Sacred House
- rabbanā
- رَبَّنَا
- our Lord!
- liyuqīmū
- لِيُقِيمُوا۟
- That they may establish
- l-ṣalata
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
- the prayers
- fa-ij'ʿal
- فَٱجْعَلْ
- So make
- afidatan
- أَفْـِٔدَةً
- hearts
- mina
- مِّنَ
- of
- l-nāsi
- ٱلنَّاسِ
- the men
- tahwī
- تَهْوِىٓ
- incline
- ilayhim
- إِلَيْهِمْ
- towards them
- wa-ur'zuq'hum
- وَٱرْزُقْهُم
- and provide them
- mina
- مِّنَ
- with
- l-thamarāti
- ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ
- the fruits
- laʿallahum
- لَعَلَّهُمْ
- so that they may
- yashkurūna
- يَشْكُرُونَ
- be grateful
Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants in an uncultivated valley near Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide for them from the fruits that they might be grateful. (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 37)Tafsir
رَبَّنَآ اِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ مَا نُخْفِيْ وَمَا نُعْلِنُۗ وَمَا يَخْفٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فِى الْاَرْضِ وَلَا فِى السَّمَاۤءِ ٣٨
- rabbanā
- رَبَّنَآ
- Our Lord!
- innaka
- إِنَّكَ
- Indeed You
- taʿlamu
- تَعْلَمُ
- You know
- mā
- مَا
- what
- nukh'fī
- نُخْفِى
- we conceal
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and what
- nuʿ'linu
- نُعْلِنُۗ
- we proclaim
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- yakhfā
- يَخْفَىٰ
- (is) hidden
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- from
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- min
- مِن
- any
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- thing
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-samāi
- ٱلسَّمَآءِ
- the heaven
Our Lord, indeed You know what we conceal and what we declare, and nothing is hidden from Allah on the earth or in the heaven. (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 38)Tafsir
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ وَهَبَ لِيْ عَلَى الْكِبَرِ اِسْمٰعِيْلَ وَاِسْحٰقَۗ اِنَّ رَبِّيْ لَسَمِيْعُ الدُّعَاۤءِ ٣٩
- al-ḥamdu
- ٱلْحَمْدُ
- All the Praise
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- (is) for Allah
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- the One Who
- wahaba
- وَهَبَ
- has granted
- lī
- لِى
- me
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- in
- l-kibari
- ٱلْكِبَرِ
- the old age
- is'māʿīla
- إِسْمَٰعِيلَ
- Ismail
- wa-is'ḥāqa
- وَإِسْحَٰقَۚ
- and Ishaq
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- rabbī
- رَبِّى
- my Lord
- lasamīʿu
- لَسَمِيعُ
- (is) All-Hearer
- l-duʿāi
- ٱلدُّعَآءِ
- (of) the prayer
Praise to Allah, who has granted to me in old age Ishmael and Isaac. Indeed, my Lord is the Hearer of supplication. (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 39)Tafsir
رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِيْ مُقِيْمَ الصَّلٰوةِ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِيْۖ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاۤءِ ٤٠
- rabbi
- رَبِّ
- My Lord!
- ij'ʿalnī
- ٱجْعَلْنِى
- Make me
- muqīma
- مُقِيمَ
- an establisher
- l-ṣalati
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ
- (of) the prayer
- wamin
- وَمِن
- and from
- dhurriyyatī
- ذُرِّيَّتِىۚ
- my offsprings
- rabbanā
- رَبَّنَا
- Our Lord!
- wataqabbal
- وَتَقَبَّلْ
- and accept
- duʿāi
- دُعَآءِ
- my prayer
My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication. (QS. [14] Ibrahim: 40)Tafsir
