Al-Qur'an Surah Yusuf Verse 2
Yusuf [12]: 2 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
اِنَّآ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ قُرْاٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُوْنَ (يوسف : ١٢)
- innā

- Indeed, We
- anzalnāhu
- أَنزَلْنَٰهُ
- We have sent it down
- qur'ānan
- قُرْءَٰنًا
- (as) a Quran in Arabic
- ʿarabiyyan
- عَرَبِيًّا
- (as) a Quran in Arabic
- laʿallakum
- لَّعَلَّكُمْ
- so that you may
- taʿqilūna
- تَعْقِلُونَ
- understand
Transliteration:
Innaaa anzalnaahu quraanan 'Arabiyyal la 'allakum ta'qiloon(QS. Yūsuf:2)
English / Sahih Translation:
Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran that you might understand. (QS. Yusuf, ayah 2)

The Arabic language is the most eloquent, plain, deep and expressive of the meanings that might arise in one's mind. Therefore, the most honorable Book, was revealed in the most honorable language, to the most honorable Prophet and Messenger, delivered by the most honorable angel, in the most honorable land on earth, and its revelation started during the most honorable month of the year, Ramadan. Therefore, the Qur'an is perfect in every respect.
So Allah said,
نَحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ أَحْسَنَ الْقَصَصِ بِمَا أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ هَـذَا الْقُرْانَ وَإِن كُنتَ مِن قَبْلِهِ لَمِنَ الْغَافِلِينَ
