۞ رَبِّ قَدْ اٰتَيْتَنِيْ مِنَ الْمُلْكِ وَعَلَّمْتَنِيْ مِنْ تَأْوِيْلِ الْاَحَادِيْثِۚ فَاطِرَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ اَنْتَ وَلِيّٖ فِى الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِۚ تَوَفَّنِيْ مُسْلِمًا وَّاَلْحِقْنِيْ بِالصّٰلِحِيْنَ ١٠١
- rabbi
- رَبِّ
- My Lord
- qad
- قَدْ
- indeed
- ātaytanī
- ءَاتَيْتَنِى
- you have given me
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-mul'ki
- ٱلْمُلْكِ
- the sovereignty
- waʿallamtanī
- وَعَلَّمْتَنِى
- and taught me
- min
- مِن
- of
- tawīli
- تَأْوِيلِ
- the interpretation
- l-aḥādīthi
- ٱلْأَحَادِيثِۚ
- of the events
- fāṭira
- فَاطِرَ
- Creator
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- (of) the heavens
- wal-arḍi
- وَٱلْأَرْضِ
- and the earth
- anta
- أَنتَ
- You
- waliyyī
- وَلِىِّۦ
- (are) my Protector
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- the world
- wal-ākhirati
- وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِۖ
- and the Hereafter
- tawaffanī
- تَوَفَّنِى
- Cause me to die
- mus'liman
- مُسْلِمًا
- (as) a Muslim
- wa-alḥiq'nī
- وَأَلْحِقْنِى
- and join me
- bil-ṣāliḥīna
- بِٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
- with the righteous"
My Lord, You have given me [something] of sovereignty and taught me of the interpretation of dreams. Creator of the heavens and earth, You are my protector in this world and the Hereafter. Cause me to die a Muslim and join me with the righteous." (QS. [12] Yusuf: 101)Tafsir
ذٰلِكَ مِنْ اَنْۢبَاۤءِ الْغَيْبِ نُوْحِيْهِ اِلَيْكَۚ وَمَا كُنْتَ لَدَيْهِمْ اِذْ اَجْمَعُوْٓا اَمْرَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَمْكُرُوْنَ ١٠٢
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- min
- مِنْ
- (is) from
- anbāi
- أَنۢبَآءِ
- the news
- l-ghaybi
- ٱلْغَيْبِ
- (of) the unseen
- nūḥīhi
- نُوحِيهِ
- which We reveal
- ilayka
- إِلَيْكَۖ
- to you
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- kunta
- كُنتَ
- you were
- ladayhim
- لَدَيْهِمْ
- with them
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- ajmaʿū
- أَجْمَعُوٓا۟
- they put together
- amrahum
- أَمْرَهُمْ
- their plan
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- while they
- yamkurūna
- يَمْكُرُونَ
- (were) plotting
That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal, [O Muhammad], to you. And you were not with them when they put together their plan while they conspired. (QS. [12] Yusuf: 102)Tafsir
وَمَآ اَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتَ بِمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ١٠٣
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- And not
- aktharu
- أَكْثَرُ
- most
- l-nāsi
- ٱلنَّاسِ
- (of) the mankind
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- even though
- ḥaraṣta
- حَرَصْتَ
- you desire
- bimu'minīna
- بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
- (will be) believers
And most of the people, although you strive [for it], are not believers. (QS. [12] Yusuf: 103)Tafsir
وَمَا تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍۗ اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعٰلَمِيْنَ ࣖ ١٠٤
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- tasaluhum
- تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ
- you ask them
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- for it
- min
- مِنْ
- any
- ajrin
- أَجْرٍۚ
- reward
- in
- إِنْ
- Not
- huwa
- هُوَ
- (is) it
- illā
- إِلَّا
- but
- dhik'run
- ذِكْرٌ
- a reminder
- lil'ʿālamīna
- لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ
- to the worlds
And you do not ask of them for it any payment. It is not except a reminder to the worlds. (QS. [12] Yusuf: 104)Tafsir
وَكَاَيِّنْ مِّنْ اٰيَةٍ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ يَمُرُّوْنَ عَلَيْهَا وَهُمْ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضُوْنَ ١٠٥
- waka-ayyin
- وَكَأَيِّن
- And how many
- min
- مِّنْ
- of
- āyatin
- ءَايَةٍ
- a Sign
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- wal-arḍi
- وَٱلْأَرْضِ
- and the earth
- yamurrūna
- يَمُرُّونَ
- they pass
- ʿalayhā
- عَلَيْهَا
- over it
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- while they
- ʿanhā
- عَنْهَا
- (are) from them
- muʿ'riḍūna
- مُعْرِضُونَ
- the ones who turn away
And how many a sign within the heavens and earth do they pass over while they, therefrom, are turning away. (QS. [12] Yusuf: 105)Tafsir
وَمَا يُؤْمِنُ اَكْثَرُهُمْ بِاللّٰهِ اِلَّا وَهُمْ مُّشْرِكُوْنَ ١٠٦
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- yu'minu
- يُؤْمِنُ
- believe
- aktharuhum
- أَكْثَرُهُم
- most of them
- bil-lahi
- بِٱللَّهِ
- in Allah
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- wahum
- وَهُم
- while they
- mush'rikūna
- مُّشْرِكُونَ
- associate partners with Him
And most of them believe not in Allah except while they associate others with Him. (QS. [12] Yusuf: 106)Tafsir
اَفَاَمِنُوْٓا اَنْ تَأْتِيَهُمْ غَاشِيَةٌ مِّنْ عَذَابِ اللّٰهِ اَوْ تَأْتِيَهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً وَّهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ ١٠٧
- afa-aminū
- أَفَأَمِنُوٓا۟
- Do they then feel secure
- an
- أَن
- (against) that
- tatiyahum
- تَأْتِيَهُمْ
- comes to them
- ghāshiyatun
- غَٰشِيَةٌ
- an overwhelming
- min
- مِّنْ
- [of]
- ʿadhābi
- عَذَابِ
- punishment
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- tatiyahumu
- تَأْتِيَهُمُ
- comes to them
- l-sāʿatu
- ٱلسَّاعَةُ
- the Hour
- baghtatan
- بَغْتَةً
- suddenly
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- while they
- lā
- لَا
- (do) not
- yashʿurūna
- يَشْعُرُونَ
- perceive?
Then do they feel secure that there will not come to them an overwhelming [aspect] of the punishment of Allah or that the Hour will not come upon them suddenly while they do not perceive? (QS. [12] Yusuf: 107)Tafsir
قُلْ هٰذِهٖ سَبِيْلِيْٓ اَدْعُوْٓا اِلَى اللّٰهِ ۗعَلٰى بَصِيْرَةٍ اَنَا۠ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِيْ ۗوَسُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ وَمَآ اَنَا۠ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَ ١٠٨
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- hādhihi
- هَٰذِهِۦ
- "This
- sabīlī
- سَبِيلِىٓ
- (is) my way;
- adʿū
- أَدْعُوٓا۟
- I invite
- ilā
- إِلَى
- to
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۚ
- Allah
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- with
- baṣīratin
- بَصِيرَةٍ
- insight
- anā
- أَنَا۠
- I
- wamani
- وَمَنِ
- and whoever
- ittabaʿanī
- ٱتَّبَعَنِىۖ
- follows me
- wasub'ḥāna
- وَسُبْحَٰنَ
- And Glory be
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (to) Allah
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- and not
- anā
- أَنَا۠
- I am
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-mush'rikīna
- ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
- the polytheists"
Say, "This is my way; I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow me. And exalted is Allah; and I am not of those who associate others with Him." (QS. [12] Yusuf: 108)Tafsir
وَمَآ اَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ اِلَّا رِجَالًا نُّوْحِيْٓ اِلَيْهِمْ مِّنْ اَهْلِ الْقُرٰىۗ اَفَلَمْ يَسِيْرُوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوْا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْۗ وَلَدَارُ الْاٰخِرَةِ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِيْنَ اتَّقَوْاۗ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ ١٠٩
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- And not
- arsalnā
- أَرْسَلْنَا
- We sent
- min
- مِن
- before you
- qablika
- قَبْلِكَ
- before you
- illā
- إِلَّا
- but
- rijālan
- رِجَالًا
- men
- nūḥī
- نُّوحِىٓ
- We revealed
- ilayhim
- إِلَيْهِم
- to them
- min
- مِّنْ
- from (among)
- ahli
- أَهْلِ
- (the) people
- l-qurā
- ٱلْقُرَىٰٓۗ
- (of) the townships
- afalam
- أَفَلَمْ
- So have not
- yasīrū
- يَسِيرُوا۟
- they traveled
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- fayanẓurū
- فَيَنظُرُوا۟
- and seen
- kayfa
- كَيْفَ
- how
- kāna
- كَانَ
- was
- ʿāqibatu
- عَٰقِبَةُ
- (the) end
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (of) those who
- min
- مِن
- (were) before them?
- qablihim
- قَبْلِهِمْۗ
- (were) before them?
- waladāru
- وَلَدَارُ
- And surely the home
- l-ākhirati
- ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
- (of) the Hereafter
- khayrun
- خَيْرٌ
- (is) best
- lilladhīna
- لِّلَّذِينَ
- for those who
- ittaqaw
- ٱتَّقَوْا۟ۗ
- fear Allah
- afalā
- أَفَلَا
- Then will not
- taʿqilūna
- تَعْقِلُونَ
- you use reason?
And We sent not before you [as messengers] except men to whom We revealed from among the people of cities. So have they not traveled through the earth and observed how was the end of those before them? And the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah; then will you not reason? (QS. [12] Yusuf: 109)Tafsir
حَتّٰٓى اِذَا اسْتَا۟يْـَٔسَ الرُّسُلُ وَظَنُّوْٓا اَنَّهُمْ قَدْ كُذِبُوْا جَاۤءَهُمْ نَصْرُنَاۙ فَنُجِّيَ مَنْ نَّشَاۤءُ ۗوَلَا يُرَدُّ بَأْسُنَا عَنِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَ ١١٠
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰٓ
- Until
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- is'tayasa
- ٱسْتَيْـَٔسَ
- gave up hope
- l-rusulu
- ٱلرُّسُلُ
- the Messengers
- waẓannū
- وَظَنُّوٓا۟
- and thought
- annahum
- أَنَّهُمْ
- that they
- qad
- قَدْ
- certainly
- kudhibū
- كُذِبُوا۟
- were denied
- jāahum
- جَآءَهُمْ
- then came to them
- naṣrunā
- نَصْرُنَا
- Our help
- fanujjiya
- فَنُجِّىَ
- and was saved
- man
- مَن
- whom
- nashāu
- نَّشَآءُۖ
- We willed
- walā
- وَلَا
- And not
- yuraddu
- يُرَدُّ
- (can) be repelled
- basunā
- بَأْسُنَا
- Our punishment
- ʿani
- عَنِ
- from
- l-qawmi
- ٱلْقَوْمِ
- the people
- l-muj'rimīna
- ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
- (who are) criminals
[They continued] until, when the messengers despaired and were certain that they had been denied, there came to them Our victory, and whoever We willed was saved. And Our punishment cannot be repelled from the people who are criminals. (QS. [12] Yusuf: 110)Tafsir
