قَالُوْا تَاللّٰهِ لَقَدْ اٰثَرَكَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْنَا وَاِنْ كُنَّا لَخٰطِـِٕيْنَ ٩١
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- They said
- tal-lahi
- تَٱللَّهِ
- "By Allah
- laqad
- لَقَدْ
- certainly
- ātharaka
- ءَاثَرَكَ
- Allah has preferred you
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah has preferred you
- ʿalaynā
- عَلَيْنَا
- over us
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- and indeed
- kunnā
- كُنَّا
- we have been
- lakhāṭiīna
- لَخَٰطِـِٔينَ
- sinners"
They said, "By Allah, certainly has Allah preferred you over us, and indeed, we have been sinners." (QS. [12] Yusuf: 91)Tafsir
قَالَ لَا تَثْرِيْبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَۗ يَغْفِرُ اللّٰهُ لَكُمْ ۖوَهُوَ اَرْحَمُ الرّٰحِمِيْنَ ٩٢
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- lā
- لَا
- "No
- tathrība
- تَثْرِيبَ
- blame
- ʿalaykumu
- عَلَيْكُمُ
- upon you
- l-yawma
- ٱلْيَوْمَۖ
- today
- yaghfiru
- يَغْفِرُ
- Allah will forgive
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah will forgive
- lakum
- لَكُمْۖ
- you
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- and He
- arḥamu
- أَرْحَمُ
- (is) the Most Merciful
- l-rāḥimīna
- ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ
- (of) those who show mercy
He said, "No blame will there be upon you today. May Allah forgive you; and He is the most merciful of the merciful. (QS. [12] Yusuf: 92)Tafsir
اِذْهَبُوْا بِقَمِيْصِيْ هٰذَا فَاَلْقُوْهُ عَلٰى وَجْهِ اَبِيْ يَأْتِ بَصِيْرًا ۚوَأْتُوْنِيْ بِاَهْلِكُمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ ࣖ ٩٣
- idh'habū
- ٱذْهَبُوا۟
- Go
- biqamīṣī
- بِقَمِيصِى
- with this shirt of mine
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- with this shirt of mine
- fa-alqūhu
- فَأَلْقُوهُ
- and cast it
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- over
- wajhi
- وَجْهِ
- (the) face
- abī
- أَبِى
- (of) my father
- yati
- يَأْتِ
- he will regain sight
- baṣīran
- بَصِيرًا
- he will regain sight
- watūnī
- وَأْتُونِى
- And bring to me
- bi-ahlikum
- بِأَهْلِكُمْ
- your family
- ajmaʿīna
- أَجْمَعِينَ
- all together"
Take this, my shirt, and cast it over the face of my father; he will become seeing. And bring me your family, all together." (QS. [12] Yusuf: 93)Tafsir
وَلَمَّا فَصَلَتِ الْعِيْرُ قَالَ اَبُوْهُمْ اِنِّيْ لَاَجِدُ رِيْحَ يُوْسُفَ لَوْلَآ اَنْ تُفَنِّدُوْنِ ٩٤
- walammā
- وَلَمَّا
- And when
- faṣalati
- فَصَلَتِ
- departed
- l-ʿīru
- ٱلْعِيرُ
- the caravan
- qāla
- قَالَ
- their father said
- abūhum
- أَبُوهُمْ
- their father said
- innī
- إِنِّى
- "Indeed, I
- la-ajidu
- لَأَجِدُ
- [I] find
- rīḥa
- رِيحَ
- (the) smell
- yūsufa
- يُوسُفَۖ
- (of) Yusuf
- lawlā
- لَوْلَآ
- if not
- an
- أَن
- that
- tufannidūni
- تُفَنِّدُونِ
- you think me weakened in mind"
And when the caravan departed [from Egypt], their father said, "Indeed, I find the smell of Joseph [and would say that he was alive] if you did not think me weakened in mind." (QS. [12] Yusuf: 94)Tafsir
قَالُوْا تَاللّٰهِ اِنَّكَ لَفِيْ ضَلٰلِكَ الْقَدِيْمِ ٩٥
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- They said
- tal-lahi
- تَٱللَّهِ
- "By Allah
- innaka
- إِنَّكَ
- indeed you
- lafī
- لَفِى
- surely (are) in
- ḍalālika
- ضَلَٰلِكَ
- your error
- l-qadīmi
- ٱلْقَدِيمِ
- old"
They said, "By Allah, indeed you are in your [same] old error." (QS. [12] Yusuf: 95)Tafsir
فَلَمَّآ اَنْ جَاۤءَ الْبَشِيْرُ اَلْقٰىهُ عَلٰى وَجْهِهٖ فَارْتَدَّ بَصِيْرًاۗ قَالَ اَلَمْ اَقُلْ لَّكُمْۙ اِنِّيْٓ اَعْلَمُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ ٩٦
- falammā
- فَلَمَّآ
- Then when
- an
- أَن
- [that]
- jāa
- جَآءَ
- arrived
- l-bashīru
- ٱلْبَشِيرُ
- the bearer of glad tidings
- alqāhu
- أَلْقَىٰهُ
- he cast it
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- over
- wajhihi
- وَجْهِهِۦ
- his face
- fa-ir'tadda
- فَٱرْتَدَّ
- then returned (his) sight
- baṣīran
- بَصِيرًاۖ
- then returned (his) sight
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- alam
- أَلَمْ
- "Did not
- aqul
- أَقُل
- I say
- lakum
- لَّكُمْ
- to you
- innī
- إِنِّىٓ
- indeed, I
- aʿlamu
- أَعْلَمُ
- [I] know
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- mā
- مَا
- what
- lā
- لَا
- not
- taʿlamūna
- تَعْلَمُونَ
- you know?"
And when the bearer of good tidings arrived, he cast it over his face, and he returned [once again] seeing. He said, "Did I not tell you that I know from Allah that which you do not know?" (QS. [12] Yusuf: 96)Tafsir
قَالُوْا يٰٓاَبَانَا اسْتَغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوْبَنَآ اِنَّا كُنَّا خٰطِـِٕيْنَ ٩٧
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- They said
- yāabānā
- يَٰٓأَبَانَا
- "O our father!
- is'taghfir
- ٱسْتَغْفِرْ
- Ask forgiveness
- lanā
- لَنَا
- for us
- dhunūbanā
- ذُنُوبَنَآ
- (of) our sins
- innā
- إِنَّا
- Indeed we
- kunnā
- كُنَّا
- have been
- khāṭiīna
- خَٰطِـِٔينَ
- sinners"
They said, "O our father, ask for us forgiveness of our sins; indeed, we have been sinners." (QS. [12] Yusuf: 97)Tafsir
قَالَ سَوْفَ اَسْتَغْفِرُ لَكُمْ رَبِّيْ ۗاِنَّهٗ هُوَ الْغَفُوْرُ الرَّحِيْمُ ٩٨
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- sawfa
- سَوْفَ
- "Soon
- astaghfiru
- أَسْتَغْفِرُ
- I will ask forgiveness
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- for you
- rabbī
- رَبِّىٓۖ
- (from) my Lord
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed He
- huwa
- هُوَ
- He
- l-ghafūru
- ٱلْغَفُورُ
- (is) the Oft-Forgiving
- l-raḥīmu
- ٱلرَّحِيمُ
- the Most Merciful"
He said, "I will ask forgiveness for you from my Lord. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful." (QS. [12] Yusuf: 98)Tafsir
فَلَمَّا دَخَلُوْا عَلٰى يُوْسُفَ اٰوٰٓى اِلَيْهِ اَبَوَيْهِ وَقَالَ ادْخُلُوْا مِصْرَ اِنْ شَاۤءَ اللّٰهُ اٰمِنِيْنَ ۗ ٩٩
- falammā
- فَلَمَّا
- Then when
- dakhalū
- دَخَلُوا۟
- they entered
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- upon
- yūsufa
- يُوسُفَ
- Yusuf
- āwā
- ءَاوَىٰٓ
- he took
- ilayhi
- إِلَيْهِ
- to himself
- abawayhi
- أَبَوَيْهِ
- his parents
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- and said
- ud'khulū
- ٱدْخُلُوا۟
- "Enter
- miṣ'ra
- مِصْرَ
- Egypt
- in
- إِن
- if
- shāa
- شَآءَ
- Allah wills
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah wills
- āminīna
- ءَامِنِينَ
- safe"
And when they entered upon Joseph, he took his parents to himself [i.e., embraced them] and said, "Enter Egypt, Allah willing, safe [and secure]." (QS. [12] Yusuf: 99)Tafsir
وَرَفَعَ اَبَوَيْهِ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ وَخَرُّوْا لَهٗ سُجَّدًاۚ وَقَالَ يٰٓاَبَتِ هٰذَا تَأْوِيْلُ رُءْيَايَ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖقَدْ جَعَلَهَا رَبِّيْ حَقًّاۗ وَقَدْ اَحْسَنَ بِيْٓ اِذْ اَخْرَجَنِيْ مِنَ السِّجْنِ وَجَاۤءَ بِكُمْ مِّنَ الْبَدْوِ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ اَنْ نَّزَغَ الشَّيْطٰنُ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَ اِخْوَتِيْۗ اِنَّ رَبِّيْ لَطِيْفٌ لِّمَا يَشَاۤءُ ۗاِنَّهٗ هُوَ الْعَلِيْمُ الْحَكِيْمُ ١٠٠
- warafaʿa
- وَرَفَعَ
- And he raised
- abawayhi
- أَبَوَيْهِ
- his parents
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- upon
- l-ʿarshi
- ٱلْعَرْشِ
- the throne
- wakharrū
- وَخَرُّوا۟
- and they fell down
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- to him
- sujjadan
- سُجَّدًاۖ
- prostrate
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- And he said
- yāabati
- يَٰٓأَبَتِ
- "O my father!
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- This
- tawīlu
- تَأْوِيلُ
- (is the) interpretation
- ru'yāya
- رُءْيَٰىَ
- (of) my dream
- min
- مِن
- (of) before
- qablu
- قَبْلُ
- (of) before
- qad
- قَدْ
- Verily
- jaʿalahā
- جَعَلَهَا
- has made it
- rabbī
- رَبِّى
- my Lord
- ḥaqqan
- حَقًّاۖ
- true
- waqad
- وَقَدْ
- And indeed
- aḥsana
- أَحْسَنَ
- He was good
- bī
- بِىٓ
- to me
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- akhrajanī
- أَخْرَجَنِى
- He took me out
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-sij'ni
- ٱلسِّجْنِ
- the prison
- wajāa
- وَجَآءَ
- and brought
- bikum
- بِكُم
- you
- mina
- مِّنَ
- from
- l-badwi
- ٱلْبَدْوِ
- the bedouin life
- min
- مِنۢ
- after
- baʿdi
- بَعْدِ
- after
- an
- أَن
- [that]
- nazagha
- نَّزَغَ
- had caused discord
- l-shayṭānu
- ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ
- the Shaitaan
- baynī
- بَيْنِى
- between me
- wabayna
- وَبَيْنَ
- and between
- ikh'watī
- إِخْوَتِىٓۚ
- my brothers
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- rabbī
- رَبِّى
- my Lord
- laṭīfun
- لَطِيفٌ
- (is) Most Subtle
- limā
- لِّمَا
- to what
- yashāu
- يَشَآءُۚ
- He wills
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed, He
- huwa
- هُوَ
- He
- l-ʿalīmu
- ٱلْعَلِيمُ
- (is) the All-Knower
- l-ḥakīmu
- ٱلْحَكِيمُ
- the All-Wise
And he raised his parents upon the throne, and they bowed to him in prostration. And he said, "O my father, this is the explanation of my vision of before. My Lord has made it reality. And He was certainly good to me when He took me out of prison and brought you [here] from bedouin life after Satan had induced [estrangement] between me and my brothers. Indeed, my Lord is Subtle in what He wills. Indeed, it is He who is the Knowing, the Wise. (QS. [12] Yusuf: 100)Tafsir
