bismillaahirrahmaanirrahiim
1

تَبَّتْ يَدَآ اَبِيْ لَهَبٍ وَّتَبَّۗ ١

تَبَّتْ
Perish

يَدَآ
(the) hands

(of) Abu
lahabin
لَهَبٍ
Lahab
watabba
وَتَبَّ
and perish he
May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. (QS. [111] Al-Masad: 1)

مَآ اَغْنٰى عَنْهُ مَالُهٗ وَمَا كَسَبَۗ ٢

مَآ
Not
aghnā
أَغْنَىٰ
(will) avail
ʿanhu
عَنْهُ
him
māluhu
مَالُهُۥ
his wealth
wamā
وَمَا
and what
kasaba
كَسَبَ
he earned
His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. (QS. [111] Al-Masad: 2)
Tafsir

سَيَصْلٰى نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍۙ ٣

sayaṣlā
سَيَصْلَىٰ
He will be burnt
nāran
نَارًا
(in) a Fire
dhāta
ذَاتَ
of
lahabin
لَهَبٍ
Blazing Flames
He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame (QS. [111] Al-Masad: 3)
Tafsir
4

وَّامْرَاَتُهٗ ۗحَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِۚ ٤

wa-im'ra-atuhu
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ
And his wife
ḥammālata
حَمَّالَةَ
(the) carrier
l-ḥaṭabi
ٱلْحَطَبِ
(of) firewood
And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. (QS. [111] Al-Masad: 4)

فِيْ جِيْدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّنْ مَّسَدٍ ࣖ ٥

فِى
Around
jīdihā
جِيدِهَا
her neck
ḥablun
حَبْلٌ
(will be) a rope
min
مِّن
of
masadin
مَّسَدٍۭ
palm-fiber
Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. (QS. [111] Al-Masad: 5)
