Al-Qur'an Surah Hud Verse 98
Hud [11]: 98 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
يَقْدُمُ قَوْمَهٗ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ فَاَوْرَدَهُمُ النَّارَ ۗوَبِئْسَ الْوِرْدُ الْمَوْرُوْدُ (هود : ١١)
- yaqdumu
- يَقْدُمُ
- He will precede
- qawmahu
- قَوْمَهُۥ
- his people
- yawma
- يَوْمَ
- (on the) Day
- l-qiyāmati
- ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
- (of) the Resurrection
- fa-awradahumu
- فَأَوْرَدَهُمُ
- and lead them
- l-nāra
- ٱلنَّارَۖ
- (into) the Fire
- wabi'sa
- وَبِئْسَ
- And wretched
- l-wir'du
- ٱلْوِرْدُ
- (is) the place
- l-mawrūdu
- ٱلْمَوْرُودُ
- to which (they are) led
Transliteration:
Yaqdumu qawmahoo Yawmal Qiyaamati fa awrada humun Naara wa bi'sal wirdul mawrood(QS. Hūd:98)
English / Sahih Translation:
He will precede his people on the Day of Resurrection and lead them into the Fire; and wretched is the place to which they are led. (QS. Hud, ayah 98)

He will go before his people on the Day of Resurrection, and they will follow him, as they did in this world, and he will lead them, he will admit them, to the Fire -- an evil place, it is, for those entering it!
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
He will go ahead of his people on the Day of Resurrection, and will lead them into the Fire, and evil indeed is the place to which they are led.
This will be the condition of those who were followed. They will have a great share of the punishment on the Day of Resurrection.
This is as Allah says,
لِكُلٍّ ضِعْفٌ وَلَـكِن لاَّ تَعْلَمُونَ
For each one there is double (torment), but you know not. (7;38)
Allah also says that the disbelievers will say while they are in the Hellfire,
رَبَّنَأ إِنَّأ أَطَعْنَا سَادَتَنَا وَكُبَرَاءَنَا فَأَضَلُّونَا السَّبِيلْ
رَبَّنَأ ءَاتِهِمْ ضِعْفَيْنِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ
"Our Lord! Verily, we obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they misled us from the (right) way. Our Lord! Give them double torment." (33;67-68)
