Al-Qur'an Surah Hud Verse 58

So, when came Our command, We saved Hūd and those who believed along with him, out of mercy from Us, and We did save them from a heavy punishment.

And when Our command, Our chastisement, came to pass We delivered Hd and those who believed with him by a mercy, by guidance, from Us, and We delivered them from a harsh, a severe, chastisement.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

وَلَمَّا جَاء أَمْرُنَا

And when Our commandment came,

This is referring to the barren wind with which Allah destroyed them, to the very last of them.

نَجَّيْنَا هُودًا وَالَّذِينَ امَنُواْ مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّنَّا

وَنَجَّيْنَاهُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ



We saved Hud and those who believed with him by a mercy from Us, and We saved them from a severe torment.

The mercy and kindness of Allah, the Exalted saved Hud and his followers from this terrible punishment
