91
قَالُوْا يٰشُعَيْبُ مَا نَفْقَهُ كَثِيْرًا مِّمَّا تَقُوْلُ وَاِنَّا لَنَرٰىكَ فِيْنَا ضَعِيْفًا ۗوَلَوْلَا رَهْطُكَ لَرَجَمْنٰكَ ۖوَمَآ اَنْتَ عَلَيْنَا بِعَزِيْزٍ ٩١
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- They said
- yāshuʿaybu
- يَٰشُعَيْبُ
- "O Shuaib!
- mā
- مَا
- Not
- nafqahu
- نَفْقَهُ
- we understand
- kathīran
- كَثِيرًا
- much
- mimmā
- مِّمَّا
- of what
- taqūlu
- تَقُولُ
- you say
- wa-innā
- وَإِنَّا
- and indeed, we
- lanarāka
- لَنَرَىٰكَ
- surely [we] see you
- fīnā
- فِينَا
- among us
- ḍaʿīfan
- ضَعِيفًاۖ
- weak
- walawlā
- وَلَوْلَا
- And if not
- rahṭuka
- رَهْطُكَ
- for your family
- larajamnāka
- لَرَجَمْنَٰكَۖ
- surely we would have stoned you
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- and you are not
- anta
- أَنتَ
- and you are not
- ʿalaynā
- عَلَيْنَا
- against us
- biʿazīzin
- بِعَزِيزٍ
- mighty"
They said, "O Shuaib, we do not understand much of what you say, and indeed, we consider you among us as weak. And if not for your family, we would have stoned you [to death]; and you are not to us one respected." (QS. [11] Hud: 91)Tafsir
92
قَالَ يٰقَوْمِ اَرَهْطِيْٓ اَعَزُّ عَلَيْكُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ ۗوَاتَّخَذْتُمُوْهُ وَرَاۤءَكُمْ ظِهْرِيًّا ۗاِنَّ رَبِّيْ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ مُحِيْطٌ ٩٢
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- yāqawmi
- يَٰقَوْمِ
- "O my people!
- arahṭī
- أَرَهْطِىٓ
- Is my family
- aʿazzu
- أَعَزُّ
- mightier
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُم
- on you
- mina
- مِّنَ
- than
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah?
- wa-ittakhadhtumūhu
- وَٱتَّخَذْتُمُوهُ
- And you have taken Him
- warāakum
- وَرَآءَكُمْ
- behind your
- ẓih'riyyan
- ظِهْرِيًّاۖ
- backs
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- rabbī
- رَبِّى
- my Lord
- bimā
- بِمَا
- of what
- taʿmalūna
- تَعْمَلُونَ
- you do
- muḥīṭun
- مُحِيطٌ
- (is) All-Encompassing
He said, "O my people, is my family more respected for power by you than Allah? But you put Him behind your backs [in neglect]. Indeed, my Lord is encompassing of what you do. (QS. [11] Hud: 92)Tafsir
93
وَيٰقَوْمِ اعْمَلُوْا عَلٰى مَكَانَتِكُمْ اِنِّيْ عَامِلٌ ۗسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَۙ مَنْ يَّأْتِيْهِ عَذَابٌ يُّخْزِيْهِ وَمَنْ هُوَ كَاذِبٌۗ وَارْتَقِبُوْٓا اِنِّيْ مَعَكُمْ رَقِيْبٌ ٩٣
- wayāqawmi
- وَيَٰقَوْمِ
- And O my people!
- iʿ'malū
- ٱعْمَلُوا۟
- Work
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- (according) to
- makānatikum
- مَكَانَتِكُمْ
- your position
- innī
- إِنِّى
- indeed I am
- ʿāmilun
- عَٰمِلٌۖ
- working
- sawfa
- سَوْفَ
- Soon
- taʿlamūna
- تَعْلَمُونَ
- you will know
- man
- مَن
- (on) whom
- yatīhi
- يَأْتِيهِ
- will come
- ʿadhābun
- عَذَابٌ
- a punishment
- yukh'zīhi
- يُخْزِيهِ
- (that will) disgrace him
- waman
- وَمَنْ
- and who
- huwa
- هُوَ
- [he]
- kādhibun
- كَٰذِبٌۖ
- (is) a liar
- wa-ir'taqibū
- وَٱرْتَقِبُوٓا۟
- And watch
- innī
- إِنِّى
- indeed I am
- maʿakum
- مَعَكُمْ
- with you
- raqībun
- رَقِيبٌ
- a watcher"
And O my people, work according to your position; indeed, I am working. You are going to know to whom will come a punishment that will disgrace him and who is a liar. So watch; indeed, I am with you a watcher, [awaiting the outcome]." (QS. [11] Hud: 93)Tafsir
94
وَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ اَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا شُعَيْبًا وَّالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مَعَهٗ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّنَّاۚ وَاَخَذَتِ الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوا الصَّيْحَةُ فَاَصْبَحُوْا فِيْ دِيَارِهِمْ جٰثِمِيْنَۙ ٩٤
- walammā
- وَلَمَّا
- And when
- jāa
- جَآءَ
- came
- amrunā
- أَمْرُنَا
- Our Command
- najjaynā
- نَجَّيْنَا
- We saved
- shuʿayban
- شُعَيْبًا
- Shuaib
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- and those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believed
- maʿahu
- مَعَهُۥ
- with him
- biraḥmatin
- بِرَحْمَةٍ
- by a Mercy
- minnā
- مِّنَّا
- from Us
- wa-akhadhati
- وَأَخَذَتِ
- And seized
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ẓalamū
- ظَلَمُوا۟
- wronged
- l-ṣayḥatu
- ٱلصَّيْحَةُ
- the thunderous blast
- fa-aṣbaḥū
- فَأَصْبَحُوا۟
- then they became
- fī
- فِى
- in
- diyārihim
- دِيَٰرِهِمْ
- their homes
- jāthimīna
- جَٰثِمِينَ
- fallen prone
And when Our command came, We saved Shuaib and those who believed with him, by mercy from Us. And the shriek seized those who had wronged, and they became within their homes [corpses] fallen prone (QS. [11] Hud: 94)Tafsir
95
كَاَنْ لَّمْ يَغْنَوْا فِيْهَا ۗ اَلَا بُعْدًا لِّمَدْيَنَ كَمَا بَعِدَتْ ثَمُوْدُ ࣖ ٩٥
- ka-an
- كَأَن
- As if
- lam
- لَّمْ
- not
- yaghnaw
- يَغْنَوْا۟
- they (had) prospered
- fīhā
- فِيهَآۗ
- therein
- alā
- أَلَا
- So
- buʿ'dan
- بُعْدًا
- away
- limadyana
- لِّمَدْيَنَ
- with Madyan
- kamā
- كَمَا
- as
- baʿidat
- بَعِدَتْ
- was taken away
- thamūdu
- ثَمُودُ
- the Thamud
As if they had never prospered therein. Then, away with Madyan as Thamud was taken away. (QS. [11] Hud: 95)Tafsir
96
وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَا مُوْسٰى بِاٰيٰتِنَا وَسُلْطٰنٍ مُّبِيْنٍۙ ٩٦
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And certainly
- arsalnā
- أَرْسَلْنَا
- We sent
- mūsā
- مُوسَىٰ
- Musa
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- with Our Signs
- wasul'ṭānin
- وَسُلْطَٰنٍ
- and an authority
- mubīnin
- مُّبِينٍ
- clear
And We did certainly send Moses with Our signs and a clear authority (QS. [11] Hud: 96)Tafsir
97
اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ وَملَا۟ىِٕهٖ فَاتَّبَعُوْٓا اَمْرَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚوَمَآ اَمْرُ فِرْعَوْنَ بِرَشِيْدٍ ٩٧
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- To
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- Firaun
- wamala-ihi
- وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ
- and his chiefs
- fa-ittabaʿū
- فَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟
- but they followed
- amra
- أَمْرَ
- (the) command of Firaun
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَۖ
- (the) command of Firaun
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- and not
- amru
- أَمْرُ
- (the) command of Firaun
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- (the) command of Firaun
- birashīdin
- بِرَشِيدٍ
- was right
To Pharaoh and his establishment, but they followed the command of Pharaoh, and the command of Pharaoh was not [at all] discerning. (QS. [11] Hud: 97)Tafsir
98
يَقْدُمُ قَوْمَهٗ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ فَاَوْرَدَهُمُ النَّارَ ۗوَبِئْسَ الْوِرْدُ الْمَوْرُوْدُ ٩٨
- yaqdumu
- يَقْدُمُ
- He will precede
- qawmahu
- قَوْمَهُۥ
- his people
- yawma
- يَوْمَ
- (on the) Day
- l-qiyāmati
- ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
- (of) the Resurrection
- fa-awradahumu
- فَأَوْرَدَهُمُ
- and lead them
- l-nāra
- ٱلنَّارَۖ
- (into) the Fire
- wabi'sa
- وَبِئْسَ
- And wretched
- l-wir'du
- ٱلْوِرْدُ
- (is) the place
- l-mawrūdu
- ٱلْمَوْرُودُ
- to which (they are) led
He will precede his people on the Day of Resurrection and lead them into the Fire; and wretched is the place to which they are led. (QS. [11] Hud: 98)Tafsir
99
وَاُتْبِعُوْا فِيْ هٰذِهٖ لَعْنَةً وَّيَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِۗ بِئْسَ الرِّفْدُ الْمَرْفُوْدُ ٩٩
- wa-ut'biʿū
- وَأُتْبِعُوا۟
- And they were followed
- fī
- فِى
- in
- hādhihi
- هَٰذِهِۦ
- this
- laʿnatan
- لَعْنَةً
- (by) a curse
- wayawma
- وَيَوْمَ
- and (on the) Day
- l-qiyāmati
- ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِۚ
- (of) the Resurrection
- bi'sa
- بِئْسَ
- Wretched
- l-rif'du
- ٱلرِّفْدُ
- (is) the gift
- l-marfūdu
- ٱلْمَرْفُودُ
- which (will) be given
And they were followed in this [world] with a curse and on the Day of Resurrection. And wretched is the gift which is given. (QS. [11] Hud: 99)Tafsir
100
ذٰلِكَ مِنْ اَنْۢبَاۤءِ الْقُرٰى نَقُصُّهٗ عَلَيْكَ مِنْهَا قَاۤىِٕمٌ وَّحَصِيْدٌ ١٠٠
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- min
- مِنْ
- (is) from
- anbāi
- أَنۢبَآءِ
- (the) news
- l-qurā
- ٱلْقُرَىٰ
- (of) the cities
- naquṣṣuhu
- نَقُصُّهُۥ
- (which) We relate
- ʿalayka
- عَلَيْكَۖ
- to you;
- min'hā
- مِنْهَا
- of them
- qāimun
- قَآئِمٌ
- some are standing
- waḥaṣīdun
- وَحَصِيدٌ
- and (some) mown
That is from the news of the cities, which We relate to you; of them, some are [still] standing and some are [as] a harvest [mowed down]. (QS. [11] Hud: 100)Tafsir
