Surah Al-Kafirun - Word by Word
(The Disbelievers)
1
قُلْ يٰٓاَيُّهَا الْكٰفِرُوْنَۙ ١
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- "O
- l-kāfirūna
- ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ
- disbelievers!
Say, "O disbelievers, (QS. [109] Al-Kafirun: 1)Tafsir
2
لَآ اَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُوْنَۙ ٢
- lā
- لَآ
- Not
- aʿbudu
- أَعْبُدُ
- I worship
- mā
- مَا
- what
- taʿbudūna
- تَعْبُدُونَ
- you worship
I do not worship what you worship. (QS. [109] Al-Kafirun: 2)Tafsir
3
وَلَآ اَنْتُمْ عٰبِدُوْنَ مَآ اَعْبُدُۚ ٣
- walā
- وَلَآ
- And not
- antum
- أَنتُمْ
- you
- ʿābidūna
- عَٰبِدُونَ
- (are) worshippers
- mā
- مَآ
- (of) what
- aʿbudu
- أَعْبُدُ
- I worship
Nor are you worshippers of what I worship. (QS. [109] Al-Kafirun: 3)Tafsir

وَلَآ اَنَا۠ عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدْتُّمْۙ ٤
- walā
- وَلَآ
- And not
- anā
- أَنَا۠
- I am
- ʿābidun
- عَابِدٌ
- a worshipper
- mā
- مَّا
- (of) what
- ʿabadttum
- عَبَدتُّمْ
- you worship
Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship. (QS. [109] Al-Kafirun: 4)Tafsir
5
وَلَآ اَنْتُمْ عٰبِدُوْنَ مَآ اَعْبُدُۗ ٥
- walā
- وَلَآ
- And not
- antum
- أَنتُمْ
- you are
- ʿābidūna
- عَٰبِدُونَ
- worshippers
- mā
- مَآ
- (of) what
- aʿbudu
- أَعْبُدُ
- I worship
Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship. (QS. [109] Al-Kafirun: 5)Tafsir
6
لَكُمْ دِيْنُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِيْنِ ࣖ ٦
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- For you
- dīnukum
- دِينُكُمْ
- (is) your religion
- waliya
- وَلِىَ
- and for me
- dīni
- دِينِ
- (is) my religion"
For you is your religion, and for me is my religion." (QS. [109] Al-Kafirun: 6)Tafsir
