At-Takathur [102]: 4 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ (التكاثر : ١٠٢)

you will know

Transliteration:

Thumma kalla sawfa ta'lamoon (QS. at-Takāthur:4)

English / Sahih Translation:

Then, no! You are going to know. (QS. At-Takathur, ayah 4)

Tafsir jalalayn

Again, no indeed! You will come to know, the evil consequences of your mutual vainglory at the moment of the extraction [of the soul], then [you will come to know] in the grave.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

Nay! you shall come to know!

Again nay! you shall come to know!

Al-Hasan Al-Basri said, "This is a threat after a threat."

Ad-Dahhak said,

كَلَّ سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Nay! you shall come to know! "Meaning, `O you disbelievers.'

ثُمَّ كَلَّ سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Again nay! you shall come to know! meaning, `O you believers."'

Then Allah says,

كَلَّ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ الْيَقِينِ
