وَالْعٰدِيٰتِ ضَبْحًاۙ ١
- wal-ʿādiyāti
- وَٱلْعَٰدِيَٰتِ
- By the racers
- ḍabḥan
- ضَبْحًا
- panting
By the racers, panting, (QS. [100] Al-'Adiyat: 1)Tafsir
2
فَالْمُوْرِيٰتِ قَدْحًاۙ ٢
- fal-mūriyāti
- فَٱلْمُورِيَٰتِ
- And the producers of sparks
- qadḥan
- قَدْحًا
- striking
And the producers of sparks [when] striking (QS. [100] Al-'Adiyat: 2)Tafsir
3
فَالْمُغِيْرٰتِ صُبْحًاۙ ٣
- fal-mughīrāti
- فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ
- And the chargers
- ṣub'ḥan
- صُبْحًا
- (at) dawn
And the chargers at dawn, (QS. [100] Al-'Adiyat: 3)Tafsir
4
فَاَثَرْنَ بِهٖ نَقْعًاۙ ٤
- fa-atharna
- فَأَثَرْنَ
- Then raise
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- thereby
- naqʿan
- نَقْعًا
- dust
Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, (QS. [100] Al-'Adiyat: 4)Tafsir
5
فَوَسَطْنَ بِهٖ جَمْعًاۙ ٥
- fawasaṭna
- فَوَسَطْنَ
- Then penetrate (in the) center
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- thereby
- jamʿan
- جَمْعًا
- (of) troops
Arriving thereby in the center collectively, (QS. [100] Al-'Adiyat: 5)Tafsir
6
اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ لِرَبِّهٖ لَكَنُوْدٌ ۚ ٦
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-insāna
- ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
- mankind
- lirabbihi
- لِرَبِّهِۦ
- to his Lord
- lakanūdun
- لَكَنُودٌ
- (is) surely ungrateful
Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. (QS. [100] Al-'Adiyat: 6)Tafsir
7
وَاِنَّهٗ عَلٰى ذٰلِكَ لَشَهِيْدٌۚ ٧
- wa-innahu
- وَإِنَّهُۥ
- And indeed he
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- to
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- lashahīdun
- لَشَهِيدٌ
- surely (is) a witness
And indeed, he is to that a witness. (QS. [100] Al-'Adiyat: 7)Tafsir
8
وَاِنَّهٗ لِحُبِّ الْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيْدٌ ۗ ٨
- wa-innahu
- وَإِنَّهُۥ
- And indeed he (is)
- liḥubbi
- لِحُبِّ
- in (the) love
- l-khayri
- ٱلْخَيْرِ
- (of) wealth
- lashadīdun
- لَشَدِيدٌ
- (is) surely intense
And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. (QS. [100] Al-'Adiyat: 8)Tafsir
9
۞ اَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ اِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِى الْقُبُوْرِۙ ٩
- afalā
- أَفَلَا
- But does not
- yaʿlamu
- يَعْلَمُ
- he know
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- buʿ'thira
- بُعْثِرَ
- will be scattered
- mā
- مَا
- what
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- l-qubūri
- ٱلْقُبُورِ
- the graves
But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered (QS. [100] Al-'Adiyat: 9)Tafsir
10
وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى الصُّدُوْرِۙ ١٠
- waḥuṣṣila
- وَحُصِّلَ
- And is made apparent
- mā
- مَا
- what
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- l-ṣudūri
- ٱلصُّدُورِ
- the breasts?
And that within the breasts is obtained, (QS. [100] Al-'Adiyat: 10)Tafsir
