Al-Qur'an Surah Yunus Verse 103
Yunus [10]: 103 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
ثُمَّ نُنَجِّيْ رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا كَذٰلِكَ ۚحَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نُنْجِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ࣖ (يونس : ١٠)

- رُسُلَنَا
- Our Messengers
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- and those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟ۚ

- كَذَٰلِكَ
- Thus
- ḥaqqan
- حَقًّا
- (it is) an obligation
- ʿalaynā
- عَلَيْنَا
- upon Us
- nunji
- نُنجِ
- (that) We save
- l-mu'minīna
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- the believers
Transliteration:
Summma nunajjee Ruslanaa wallazeena aamanoo; kazaalika haqqan 'alainaa nunjil mu'mineen(QS. al-Yūnus:103)
English / Sahih Translation:
Then We will save Our messengers and those who have believed. Thus, it is an obligation upon Us that We save the believers. (QS. Yunus, ayah 103)

Then We (used to) save Our messengers and those who believed. Similarly, it being undertaken by Us, We shall save the believers.

Tafsir jalalayn
Then We shall deliver (nunajj; the imperfect tense is [being used] to narrate a past situation) Our messengers and the believers, from the chastisement. In like manner, to [that] deliverance, it is incumbent upon Us to deliver the believers, the Prophet (s) and his Companions, when [the time comes for] chastising the idolaters.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
قُلْ فَانتَظِرُواْ إِنِّي مَعَكُم مِّنَ الْمُنتَظِرِينَ ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِينَ امَنُواْ
Say;"Wait then, I am waiting with you among those who wait." Then We save Our Messengers and those who believe!
This means, `Verily, We destroy those who reject the Messengers.'
كَذَلِكَ حَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نُنجِ الْمُوْمِنِينَ
Thus it is incumbent upon Us to save the believers.
This means that this is a right that Allah, the Exalted, has obligated upon His Noble Self.
This is similar to His statement,
كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ
Your Lord has written (prescribed) mercy for Himself. (6;54
