فَلَمَّآ اَلْقَوْا قَالَ مُوْسٰى مَا جِئْتُمْ بِهِ ۙالسِّحْرُۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَيُبْطِلُهٗۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ الْمُفْسِدِيْنَ ࣖ ٨١
- falammā
- فَلَمَّآ
- Then when
- alqaw
- أَلْقَوْا۟
- they (had) thrown
- qāla
- قَالَ
- Musa said
- mūsā
- مُوسَىٰ
- Musa said
- mā
- مَا
- "What
- ji'tum
- جِئْتُم
- you have brought
- bihi
- بِهِ
- [it]
- l-siḥ'ru
- ٱلسِّحْرُۖ
- (is) the magic
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- sayub'ṭiluhu
- سَيُبْطِلُهُۥٓۖ
- will nullify it
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yuṣ'liḥu
- يُصْلِحُ
- amend
- ʿamala
- عَمَلَ
- the work
- l-muf'sidīna
- ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
- (of) the corrupters
And when they had thrown, Moses said, "What you have brought is [only] magic. Indeed, Allah will expose its worthlessness. Indeed, Allah does not amend the work of corrupters. (QS. [10] Yunus: 81)Tafsir
وَيُحِقُّ اللّٰهُ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمٰتِهٖ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ ٨٢
- wayuḥiqqu
- وَيُحِقُّ
- And Allah will establish
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- And Allah will establish
- l-ḥaqa
- ٱلْحَقَّ
- the truth
- bikalimātihi
- بِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ
- by His words
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- even if
- kariha
- كَرِهَ
- dislike it
- l-muj'rimūna
- ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
- the criminals"
And Allah will establish the truth by His words, even if the criminals dislike it." (QS. [10] Yunus: 82)Tafsir
فَمَآ اٰمَنَ لِمُوْسٰىٓ اِلَّا ذُرِّيَّةٌ مِّنْ قَوْمِهٖ عَلٰى خَوْفٍ مِّنْ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَا۟ىِٕهِمْ اَنْ يَّفْتِنَهُمْ ۗوَاِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ لَعَالٍ فِى الْاَرْضِۚ وَاِنَّهٗ لَمِنَ الْمُسْرِفِيْنَ ٨٣
- famā
- فَمَآ
- But none
- āmana
- ءَامَنَ
- believed
- limūsā
- لِمُوسَىٰٓ
- Musa
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- dhurriyyatun
- ذُرِّيَّةٌ
- (the) offspring
- min
- مِّن
- among
- qawmihi
- قَوْمِهِۦ
- his people
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- for
- khawfin
- خَوْفٍ
- fear
- min
- مِّن
- of
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- Firaun
- wamala-ihim
- وَمَلَإِي۟هِمْ
- and their chiefs
- an
- أَن
- lest
- yaftinahum
- يَفْتِنَهُمْۚ
- they persecute them
- wa-inna
- وَإِنَّ
- And indeed
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- Firaun
- laʿālin
- لَعَالٍ
- (was) a tyrant
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- wa-innahu
- وَإِنَّهُۥ
- and indeed he
- lamina
- لَمِنَ
- (was) of
- l-mus'rifīna
- ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
- the ones who commit excesses
But no one believed Moses, except [some] offspring [i.e., youths] among his people, for fear of Pharaoh and his establishment that they would persecute them. And indeed, Pharaoh was haughty within the land, and indeed, he was of the transgressors. (QS. [10] Yunus: 83)Tafsir
وَقَالَ مُوْسٰى يٰقَوْمِ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ اٰمَنْتُمْ بِاللّٰهِ فَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلُوْٓا اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّسْلِمِيْنَ ٨٤
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- And Musa said
- mūsā
- مُوسَىٰ
- And Musa said
- yāqawmi
- يَٰقَوْمِ
- "O my people!
- in
- إِن
- If
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you have
- āmantum
- ءَامَنتُم
- believed
- bil-lahi
- بِٱللَّهِ
- in Allah
- faʿalayhi
- فَعَلَيْهِ
- then on Him
- tawakkalū
- تَوَكَّلُوٓا۟
- put your trust
- in
- إِن
- if
- kuntum
- كُنتُم
- you are
- mus'limīna
- مُّسْلِمِينَ
- Muslims"
And Moses said, "O my people, if you have believed in Allah, then rely upon Him, if you should be Muslims [i.e., submitting to Him]." (QS. [10] Yunus: 84)Tafsir
فَقَالُوْا عَلَى اللّٰهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا ۚرَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلْقَوْمِ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ٨٥
- faqālū
- فَقَالُوا۟
- Then they said
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- "Upon
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- tawakkalnā
- تَوَكَّلْنَا
- we put our trust
- rabbanā
- رَبَّنَا
- Our Lord!
- lā
- لَا
- (Do) not
- tajʿalnā
- تَجْعَلْنَا
- make us
- fit'natan
- فِتْنَةً
- a trial
- lil'qawmi
- لِّلْقَوْمِ
- for the people -
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers
So they said, "Upon Allah do we rely. Our Lord, make us not [objects of] trial for the wrongdoing people (QS. [10] Yunus: 85)Tafsir
وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ ٨٦
- wanajjinā
- وَنَجِّنَا
- And save us
- biraḥmatika
- بِرَحْمَتِكَ
- by Your Mercy
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-qawmi
- ٱلْقَوْمِ
- the people -
- l-kāfirīna
- ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
- the disbelievers"
And save us by Your mercy from the disbelieving people." (QS. [10] Yunus: 86)Tafsir
وَاَوْحَيْنَآ اِلٰى مُوْسٰى وَاَخِيْهِ اَنْ تَبَوَّاٰ لِقَوْمِكُمَا بِمِصْرَ بُيُوْتًا وَّاجْعَلُوْا بُيُوْتَكُمْ قِبْلَةً وَّاَقِيْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَۗ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ٨٧
- wa-awḥaynā
- وَأَوْحَيْنَآ
- And We inspired
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- mūsā
- مُوسَىٰ
- Musa
- wa-akhīhi
- وَأَخِيهِ
- and his brother
- an
- أَن
- that
- tabawwaā
- تَبَوَّءَا
- "Settle
- liqawmikumā
- لِقَوْمِكُمَا
- your people
- bimiṣ'ra
- بِمِصْرَ
- in Egypt
- buyūtan
- بُيُوتًا
- (in) houses
- wa-ij'ʿalū
- وَٱجْعَلُوا۟
- and make
- buyūtakum
- بُيُوتَكُمْ
- your houses
- qib'latan
- قِبْلَةً
- (as) places of worship
- wa-aqīmū
- وَأَقِيمُوا۟
- and establish
- l-ṣalata
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةَۗ
- the prayer
- wabashiri
- وَبَشِّرِ
- And give glad tidings
- l-mu'minīna
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- (to) the believers"
And We inspired to Moses and his brother, "Settle your people in Egypt in houses and make your houses [facing the] qiblah and establish prayer and give good tidings to the believers." (QS. [10] Yunus: 87)Tafsir
وَقَالَ مُوْسٰى رَبَّنَآ اِنَّكَ اٰتَيْتَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَاَهٗ زِيْنَةً وَّاَمْوَالًا فِى الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَاۗ رَبَّنَا لِيُضِلُّوْا عَنْ سَبِيْلِكَ ۚرَبَّنَا اطْمِسْ عَلٰٓى اَمْوَالِهِمْ وَاشْدُدْ عَلٰى قُلُوْبِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُوْا حَتّٰى يَرَوُا الْعَذَابَ الْاَلِيْمَ ٨٨
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- And Musa said
- mūsā
- مُوسَىٰ
- And Musa said
- rabbanā
- رَبَّنَآ
- "Our Lord!
- innaka
- إِنَّكَ
- Indeed, You
- ātayta
- ءَاتَيْتَ
- have given
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- Firaun
- wamala-ahu
- وَمَلَأَهُۥ
- and his chiefs
- zīnatan
- زِينَةً
- splendor
- wa-amwālan
- وَأَمْوَٰلًا
- and wealth
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-ḥayati
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
- the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- (of) the world
- rabbanā
- رَبَّنَا
- Our Lord!
- liyuḍillū
- لِيُضِلُّوا۟
- That they may lead astray
- ʿan
- عَن
- from
- sabīlika
- سَبِيلِكَۖ
- Your way
- rabbanā
- رَبَّنَا
- Our Lord!
- iṭ'mis
- ٱطْمِسْ
- Destroy
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰٓ
- [on]
- amwālihim
- أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ
- their wealth
- wa-ush'dud
- وَٱشْدُدْ
- and harden
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- [on]
- qulūbihim
- قُلُوبِهِمْ
- their hearts
- falā
- فَلَا
- so (that) not
- yu'minū
- يُؤْمِنُوا۟
- they believe
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰ
- until
- yarawū
- يَرَوُا۟
- they see
- l-ʿadhāba
- ٱلْعَذَابَ
- the punishment
- l-alīma
- ٱلْأَلِيمَ
- the painful"
And Moses said, "Our Lord, indeed You have given Pharaoh and his establishment splendor and wealth in the worldly life, our Lord, that they may lead [men] astray from Your way. Our Lord, obliterate their wealth and harden their hearts so that they will not believe until they see the painful punishment." (QS. [10] Yunus: 88)Tafsir
قَالَ قَدْ اُجِيْبَتْ دَّعْوَتُكُمَا فَاسْتَقِيْمَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعٰۤنِّ سَبِيْلَ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ٨٩
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- qad
- قَدْ
- "Verily
- ujībat
- أُجِيبَت
- has been answered
- daʿwatukumā
- دَّعْوَتُكُمَا
- (the) invocation of both of you
- fa-is'taqīmā
- فَٱسْتَقِيمَا
- So you two (keep to the) straight way
- walā
- وَلَا
- And (do) not
- tattabiʿānni
- تَتَّبِعَآنِّ
- follow
- sabīla
- سَبِيلَ
- (the) way
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (of) those who
- lā
- لَا
- (do) not
- yaʿlamūna
- يَعْلَمُونَ
- know"
[Allah] said, "Your supplication has been answered." So remain on a right course and follow not the way of those who do not know." (QS. [10] Yunus: 89)Tafsir
۞ وَجَاوَزْنَا بِبَنِيْٓ اِسْرَاۤءِيْلَ الْبَحْرَ فَاَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ وَجُنُوْدُهٗ بَغْيًا وَّعَدْوًا ۗحَتّٰىٓ اِذَآ اَدْرَكَهُ الْغَرَقُ قَالَ اٰمَنْتُ اَنَّهٗ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا الَّذِيْٓ اٰمَنَتْ بِهٖ بَنُوْٓا اِسْرَاۤءِيْلَ وَاَنَا۠ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ ٩٠
- wajāwaznā
- وَجَٰوَزْنَا
- And We took across
- bibanī
- بِبَنِىٓ
- (the) Children
- is'rāīla
- إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
- (of) Israel
- l-baḥra
- ٱلْبَحْرَ
- the sea
- fa-atbaʿahum
- فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ
- and followed them
- fir'ʿawnu
- فِرْعَوْنُ
- Firaun
- wajunūduhu
- وَجُنُودُهُۥ
- and his hosts
- baghyan
- بَغْيًا
- (in) rebellion
- waʿadwan
- وَعَدْوًاۖ
- and enmity
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰٓ
- until
- idhā
- إِذَآ
- when
- adrakahu
- أَدْرَكَهُ
- overtook him
- l-gharaqu
- ٱلْغَرَقُ
- the drowning
- qāla
- قَالَ
- he said
- āmantu
- ءَامَنتُ
- "I believe
- annahu
- أَنَّهُۥ
- that
- lā
- لَآ
- (there is) no
- ilāha
- إِلَٰهَ
- god
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِىٓ
- the One
- āmanat
- ءَامَنَتْ
- in Whom believe
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- in Whom believe
- banū
- بَنُوٓا۟
- the Children of Israel
- is'rāīla
- إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
- the Children of Israel
- wa-anā
- وَأَنَا۠
- and I am
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-mus'limīna
- ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
- the Muslims"
And We took the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh and his soldiers pursued them in tyranny and enmity until, when drowning overtook him, he said, "I believe that there is no deity except that in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of the Muslims." (QS. [10] Yunus: 90)Tafsir
