اٰۤلْـٰٔنَ وَقَدْ عَصَيْتَ قَبْلُ وَكُنْتَ مِنَ الْمُفْسِدِيْنَ ٩١
- āl'āna
- ءَآلْـَٰٔنَ
- "Now?
- waqad
- وَقَدْ
- And verily
- ʿaṣayta
- عَصَيْتَ
- you (had) disobeyed
- qablu
- قَبْلُ
- before
- wakunta
- وَكُنتَ
- and you were
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-muf'sidīna
- ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
- the corrupters?"
Now? And you had disobeyed [Him] before and were of the corrupters? (QS. [10] Yunus: 91)Tafsir
فَالْيَوْمَ نُنَجِّيْكَ بِبَدَنِكَ لِتَكُوْنَ لِمَنْ خَلْفَكَ اٰيَةً ۗوَاِنَّ كَثِيْرًا مِّنَ النَّاسِ عَنْ اٰيٰتِنَا لَغٰفِلُوْنَ ٩٢
- fal-yawma
- فَٱلْيَوْمَ
- So today
- nunajjīka
- نُنَجِّيكَ
- We will save you
- bibadanika
- بِبَدَنِكَ
- in your body
- litakūna
- لِتَكُونَ
- that you may be
- liman
- لِمَنْ
- for (those) who
- khalfaka
- خَلْفَكَ
- succeed you
- āyatan
- ءَايَةًۚ
- a sign
- wa-inna
- وَإِنَّ
- And indeed
- kathīran
- كَثِيرًا
- many
- mina
- مِّنَ
- among
- l-nāsi
- ٱلنَّاسِ
- the mankind
- ʿan
- عَنْ
- of
- āyātinā
- ءَايَٰتِنَا
- Our Signs
- laghāfilūna
- لَغَٰفِلُونَ
- (are) surely heedless"
So today We will save you in body that you may be to those who succeed you a sign. And indeed, many among the people, of Our signs, are heedless. (QS. [10] Yunus: 92)Tafsir
وَلَقَدْ بَوَّأْنَا بَنِيْٓ اِسْرَاۤءِيْلَ مُبَوَّاَ صِدْقٍ وَّرَزَقْنٰهُمْ مِّنَ الطَّيِّبٰتِ ۚفَمَا اخْتَلَفُوْا حَتّٰى جَاۤءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ ۗاِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِيْ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ فِيْمَا كَانُوْا فِيْهِ يَخْتَلِفُوْنَ ٩٣
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And verily
- bawwanā
- بَوَّأْنَا
- We settled
- banī
- بَنِىٓ
- (the) Children
- is'rāīla
- إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
- (of) Israel
- mubawwa-a
- مُبَوَّأَ
- (in) a settlement
- ṣid'qin
- صِدْقٍ
- honorable
- warazaqnāhum
- وَرَزَقْنَٰهُم
- and We provided them
- mina
- مِّنَ
- with
- l-ṭayibāti
- ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ
- the good things
- famā
- فَمَا
- and not
- ikh'talafū
- ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟
- they differ
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰ
- until
- jāahumu
- جَآءَهُمُ
- came to them
- l-ʿil'mu
- ٱلْعِلْمُۚ
- the knowledge
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- rabbaka
- رَبَّكَ
- your Lord
- yaqḍī
- يَقْضِى
- will judge
- baynahum
- بَيْنَهُمْ
- between them
- yawma
- يَوْمَ
- (on) the Day
- l-qiyāmati
- ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
- (of) the Resurrection
- fīmā
- فِيمَا
- concerning what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used (to)
- fīhi
- فِيهِ
- [in it]
- yakhtalifūna
- يَخْتَلِفُونَ
- differ
And We had certainly settled the Children of Israel in an agreeable settlement and provided them with good things. And they did not differ until [after] knowledge had come to them. Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ. (QS. [10] Yunus: 93)Tafsir
فَاِنْ كُنْتَ فِيْ شَكٍّ مِّمَّآ اَنْزَلْنَآ اِلَيْكَ فَسْـَٔلِ الَّذِيْنَ يَقْرَءُوْنَ الْكِتٰبَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ ۚ لَقَدْ جَاۤءَكَ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ فَلَا تَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْمُمْتَرِيْنَۙ ٩٤
- fa-in
- فَإِن
- So if
- kunta
- كُنتَ
- you are
- fī
- فِى
- in
- shakkin
- شَكٍّ
- doubt
- mimmā
- مِّمَّآ
- of what
- anzalnā
- أَنزَلْنَآ
- We have revealed
- ilayka
- إِلَيْكَ
- to you
- fasali
- فَسْـَٔلِ
- then ask
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- yaqraūna
- يَقْرَءُونَ
- (have been) reading
- l-kitāba
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
- the Book
- min
- مِن
- before you
- qablika
- قَبْلِكَۚ
- before you
- laqad
- لَقَدْ
- Verily
- jāaka
- جَآءَكَ
- has come to you
- l-ḥaqu
- ٱلْحَقُّ
- the truth
- min
- مِن
- from
- rabbika
- رَّبِّكَ
- your Lord
- falā
- فَلَا
- so (do) not
- takūnanna
- تَكُونَنَّ
- be
- mina
- مِنَ
- among
- l-mum'tarīna
- ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ
- the doubters
So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters. (QS. [10] Yunus: 94)Tafsir
وَلَا تَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ فَتَكُوْنَ مِنَ الْخٰسِرِيْنَ ٩٥
- walā
- وَلَا
- And (do) not
- takūnanna
- تَكُونَنَّ
- be
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- deny
- biāyāti
- بِـَٔايَٰتِ
- (the) Signs of Allah
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (the) Signs of Allah
- fatakūna
- فَتَكُونَ
- then you will be
- mina
- مِنَ
- among
- l-khāsirīna
- ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ
- the losers
And never be of those who deny the signs of Allah and [thus] be among the losers. (QS. [10] Yunus: 95)Tafsir
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِمْ كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ ٩٦
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those [whom]
- ḥaqqat
- حَقَّتْ
- has become due
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- on them
- kalimatu
- كَلِمَتُ
- (the) Word
- rabbika
- رَبِّكَ
- (of) your Lord
- lā
- لَا
- will not
- yu'minūna
- يُؤْمِنُونَ
- believe
Indeed, those upon whom the word [i.e., decree] of your Lord has come into effect will not believe, (QS. [10] Yunus: 96)Tafsir
وَلَوْ جَاۤءَتْهُمْ كُلُّ اٰيَةٍ حَتّٰى يَرَوُا الْعَذَابَ الْاَلِيْمَ ٩٧
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- Even if
- jāathum
- جَآءَتْهُمْ
- comes to them
- kullu
- كُلُّ
- every
- āyatin
- ءَايَةٍ
- Sign
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰ
- until
- yarawū
- يَرَوُا۟
- they see
- l-ʿadhāba
- ٱلْعَذَابَ
- the punishment -
- l-alīma
- ٱلْأَلِيمَ
- the painful
Even if every sign should come to them, until they see the painful punishment. (QS. [10] Yunus: 97)Tafsir
فَلَوْلَا كَانَتْ قَرْيَةٌ اٰمَنَتْ فَنَفَعَهَآ اِيْمَانُهَآ اِلَّا قَوْمَ يُوْنُسَۗ لَمَّآ اٰمَنُوْا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمْ عَذَابَ الْخِزْيِ فِى الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا وَمَتَّعْنٰهُمْ اِلٰى حِيْنٍ ٩٨
- falawlā
- فَلَوْلَا
- So why not
- kānat
- كَانَتْ
- was
- qaryatun
- قَرْيَةٌ
- any town
- āmanat
- ءَامَنَتْ
- that believed
- fanafaʿahā
- فَنَفَعَهَآ
- and benefited it
- īmānuhā
- إِيمَٰنُهَآ
- its faith
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- qawma
- قَوْمَ
- the people
- yūnusa
- يُونُسَ
- (of) Yunus?
- lammā
- لَمَّآ
- When
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- they believed
- kashafnā
- كَشَفْنَا
- We removed
- ʿanhum
- عَنْهُمْ
- from them
- ʿadhāba
- عَذَابَ
- (the) punishment
- l-khiz'yi
- ٱلْخِزْىِ
- (of) the disgrace
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-ḥayati
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
- the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- of the world
- wamattaʿnāhum
- وَمَتَّعْنَٰهُمْ
- and We granted them enjoyment
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- for
- ḥīnin
- حِينٍ
- a time
Then has there not been a [single] city that believed so its faith benefited it except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in worldly life and gave them enjoyment [i.e., provision] for a time. (QS. [10] Yunus: 98)Tafsir
وَلَوْ شَاۤءَ رَبُّكَ لَاٰمَنَ مَنْ فِى الْاَرْضِ كُلُّهُمْ جَمِيْعًاۗ اَفَاَنْتَ تُكْرِهُ النَّاسَ حَتّٰى يَكُوْنُوْا مُؤْمِنِيْنَ ٩٩
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- And if
- shāa
- شَآءَ
- (had) willed
- rabbuka
- رَبُّكَ
- your Lord
- laāmana
- لَءَامَنَ
- surely (would) have believed
- man
- مَن
- who
- fī
- فِى
- (are) in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- kulluhum
- كُلُّهُمْ
- all of them
- jamīʿan
- جَمِيعًاۚ
- together
- afa-anta
- أَفَأَنتَ
- Then will you
- tuk'rihu
- تُكْرِهُ
- compel
- l-nāsa
- ٱلنَّاسَ
- the mankind
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰ
- until
- yakūnū
- يَكُونُوا۟
- they become
- mu'minīna
- مُؤْمِنِينَ
- believers?
And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed – all of them entirely. Then, [O Muhammad], would you compel the people in order that they become believers? (QS. [10] Yunus: 99)Tafsir
وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ اَنْ تُؤْمِنَ اِلَّا بِاِذْنِ اللّٰهِ ۗوَيَجْعَلُ الرِّجْسَ عَلَى الَّذِيْنَ لَا يَعْقِلُوْنَ ١٠٠
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- linafsin
- لِنَفْسٍ
- for a soul
- an
- أَن
- to
- tu'mina
- تُؤْمِنَ
- believe
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- bi-idh'ni
- بِإِذْنِ
- by (the) permission
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۚ
- (of) Allah
- wayajʿalu
- وَيَجْعَلُ
- And He will place
- l-rij'sa
- ٱلرِّجْسَ
- the wrath
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- on
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- lā
- لَا
- (do) not
- yaʿqilūna
- يَعْقِلُونَ
- use reason
And it is not for a soul [i.e., anyone] to believe except by permission of Allah, and He will place defilement upon those who will not use reason. (QS. [10] Yunus: 100)Tafsir
